  1. Ok I'm outside of Ft. Gordon Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  2. Here’s a fun fact that most scale manufacturers don’t want you to know: it is considered “normal” for a digital scale to have at least a 1% variation. Doesn’t seem like much, right? Let’s take an average guy who weighs 200 pounds as an example. With a 1% variation, the manufacturer will consider it normal for the scale to read 198 pounds or 202 pounds. That’s a 4-pound difference And here I am going crazy weighing myself 10 times a day. Let me change that to "FUN STATEMENT " http://www.myweighin.net/find-accurate-scales/
  3. I'm in a few WLS groups and they are all private. So nobody on my fb can see . for the may group if you search may on here you will find it . if you cant ill look it up for you
  4. First off, congrats!!! second if you are on Facebook there is a May sleevers group and I believe there is one here too.
  5. I hope that I get the chance to do the photo shoot I want. But I cant really lock anything in until I have a surgery date. Then once I have a date a have a small window of time to make it happen around work and pre op appointments.
  6. I am tossing around ideas for before and after pics. But I've noticed a lot of us hid from the camera so much we don't have many "before". I am thinking about an actual photo shoot the week before surgery and a year after, with the same theme. I also have a few dresses at home that I will take selfies with every month to document the change. Has anyone not taken any or enough pics and wish they had? or I would love to see if you have some creative before and after's.
  7. Of course not every day's a fashion show in New York Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  8. All my family is in Brooklyn(home) , I was amazed that Wal-Mart wasn't as abundant as it is in the south.
  9. Also f you have a Wal-Mart( which based on your location is rare, usually Target ) if you try a powder and don t like it they take it back opened.
  10. I purchased all my samples, nothing was over 20. unjury directly from their site they send 2 of each flavor and a little gift , sytrax you can email them or go to smart bodynutruion.com (ill clarify the site name ) I think I paid 15-19 for 15 flavors. genepro from their site they don't send much.
  11. I'm currently reading Eat it up, and Connie Stapleton is my psychiatrist , I've also watched all her videos regarding pre and post op life( it was my homework). I have also been to several support groups online and in person. I promise I am not as neurotic as I sound this week, just hungry. After my weigh in I will be back to my normal controlled self. Thank you for taking the time to provide some helpful information.
  12. Glad it worked out, I see you are doing good on loosing as well. Thanks for the into, I have followed everything to a t as long as I am not over 216 on Friday im golden. and I will update. I had an appointment for my sleep study results and was up one lb(wedge sneakers and a big lunch). hopefully any non related wls weights taken don't count . But I figured to be safe I need to loose at least 4lbs between the 19th and 29th didn't want to leave any room for error
  13. @@dede0314 I reached out to Aetna weeks ago for them to clarify "net gain", that said period point blank , you cant gain ANY weight. been stressed ever since. How did you finally get approved. and how much did you gain during the process?
  14. @@CrissyCakes I did the same since I started this 90day thing I have been trying to mimic the long term dietary requirements of post op life. ive gotten samples from GENEPRO, Quest,Syntrax, and
  15. appointment on Friday and I only have one day of craziness left, I think a part of me wanted to know that I would be able to stick to a liquid diet when the time comes
  16. Thank you ..... this is slow torture. I think putting myself on a liquid diet all week is adding to my craziness
  17. not sure why that posted twice @@Elle09 congrats!!! tomorrow is the big day
  18. @@CrissyCakes I was told not to stress that scale at my last weigh in at bmi 41.99. they are not concerned because as far as they know I have been compliant and always show a loss at each visit. What they don't see is I stress eat after each visit, and then spend at least a week prior to each visit almost starving myself because I know how particular Aetna is. I do work out at least 5 days a week, but still make a few bad choices here and there. I wish they were able to fix my brain. @@CrissyCakes I was told not to stress that scale at my last weigh in at bmi 41.99. they are not concerned because as far as they know I have been compliant and always show a loss at each visit. 19. that's good to hear , what insurance do you have, and when is your surgery date ?
  20. Thank you it did help, being an over thinker is my worst enemy right now. That plus I have control issues so the whole process bugs me cause ultimitely I am not in control of the insurance outcome Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks I'm hungry and frustrated, impatience is surely a side effect Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  22. well after months of lurking i finally reach out for some advice/feedback and get nothing.....
  23. I just received a all back from the office and they have everything they need, except the surgeons letter and dietician (who i have to see that day), will not be done that day. It may tae a "few days", that make me nervous. Knowing that a patient is coming close to submission why not pre write the letter so that it can be signed and dated after the last appointment?
  24. I'm sorry that you are having to go through these additional hoops. I couldn't imagine the stress of waiting through all the testing and weigh in's then waiting for submission, then waiting fro approval. Hopefully the silver lining is that once received you will be approved lighting fast . I do want to thank you for sharing this, it definitely reminded me that I need to be pro active. My last appointment is this Friday and i just called and left a message for my surgeons insurance coordinator, I want to make sure they have all test and clearances and that if anything is needed from me I have time to get it (they are in another state) . I also intend on asking , how long after this last visit will my file be sent to Aetna.
