  1. My sister in law just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this past Monday. She was banded long enough to have lost 50 or 60 pounds. Her baby is just beautiful. Good Luck!
  2. Hi I had my first fill one week ago today. I was nervous, scared, excited! You name it, I felt it! It was NOTHING! The only thing I felt was this funny sensation when the fluid traveled thru the tube. But hurt???? nO WAY! and they numbed me first then did the solution! It was a piece of cake!! So don't be nervous!
  3. I am 51 and have had a major problem with constipation all my life. I am 2 weeks post op and I have found a great solution for this problem. We are allowed sugar free pop cycles so I started buying the sugarfree fruit bars and they work like a charm. They have about 30 calories apiece. I have to eat a few of them but they kick in and keep me regular. Hope this works for you
  4. I just ate 2 eggs for supper and yep I was right! No restriction! Rats, now I am a little nervous about the weeks until the first fill!!!!
  5. Just think of the mushy stage as part of the healing process! Maybe that will help!
  6. Well, that just shows you what I know! I guess I am entering bandster hell. First day of mushies.........
  7. It means that someone who has been banded is having a very hard time due to some kind of problem related to the band! All of us who have had it easy should be very thankful.
  8. Help! I started the mushy diet today and I am still not feeling any restriction. I am worried something is wrong. I ate some pudding and some mashed potatoes for lunch and it went down very smoothly! Is this normal? I keep waiting to feel a lump in my chest, but nothing happens. Can you help? I am a self pay and if something goes wrong I don't have another $10,000 to do it again.
  9. Banded on 2-19. I've lost about 12lbs total...(one week liquid pre-op)
  10. Hi Hess!...I'm from dallas and have been banded only 5 days! the board is wonderful and the people have been a great help! Good luck on your quest.
  11. I would love to have a buddy also! I am VERY NEW to all of this! do you think we could help each othr?
  12. I am only a few days post op, but I have not experienced any gas pains at all. i came home from the hospital and walked and have walked everyday since . I just got back from a 30 min walk. I also took gas x strips everyday too. Hope you feel better soon. Take care of that infection!
  13. Yeah! I had my surgery on Tuesday and here it is Saturday and I am starting to feel like my old self! I am one of those unfortunate people that happen to be allergic to all narcotics and have to take the drugs with benedryl! Yuck...makes me feel terrible. But I have been on only Tynelol since Thursday and today I feel human again. I have to be on a two week full liquid diet. I had a protein shake this morning and a pop cycle just now. But this is my question for all of you.......I really can't tell the band is there. I know it is not tight right now, but I expected to HAVE to take very small sips but I find that my sips are not small unless I am thinking about it. Is this ok? Here is another question for you....when does the swelling start to go down? Thank you...I have so many questions running thru my head!
  14. Hey Kimmie..... Hope all is well! Thank you for clearing that up for me.......I had visions of being on a real bean bag as-I-know-it:embaressed_smile:! If I am sound asleep I don't much care what they do!!!!...I was worried about being embarrassed. Love you!
  15. Thank You, Mary. She and I do not have the same dr. or hospital so it probably won't even come up. Thank you for the information.
