  1. None of my team mentioned this to me. I got the paperwork in the mail for all the preop diet and washing instructions but nothing about this. Does anyone know if this is something standard?
  2. They never mentioned bowel prep to me. Hmm. I wonder if everyone has to do it. You sound like all your ducks are in a row and you're good to go!
  3. Wow. This was powerful to read. I hadn't considered ANY of this. I don't have 200 lbs to lose but nonetheless reading your story absolutely moved me. Thanks for sharing. All of you. Thank you.
  4. I have super sensitive skin. Mine just came in the mail today and I'm starting them tomorrow. I'll let everyone know. Sorry that happened to you and you got crappy customer service. I bought thru the store on this site. We shall see!
  5. May 22 here. Good luck! Finally!
  6. What happened? Did you have a reaction? I purchased the multi and B12 too but haven't received them yet.
  7. Just wondering how you're doing. Hope all went well and you're feeling good!
  8. Every. Single. Day. But I'm 53 and haven't been able to not regain. I need help.
  9. We will definitely need to commiserate/ celebrate after!
  10. Just found out my surgery is on May 22!
  11. I've been waiting over two years for this day to arrive! Got my date! Anyone having surgery near this time? Woohoo!!
  12. I tried the chocolate and liked it better than what I was using. Less protein and less calories. I may add the PB2 to it for a change. I'm saving the other flavors for my liver shrink phase.
  13. That is so exciting!! I hope I go near your time so we can commiserate and rejoice together. Yay!!
  14. Your husband is right. You're risking a clot developing. Why won't you take the shots?
  15. She didn't sound too sure. I'm afraid to get excited. On one hand they approved the stay but they'd have approved it before my packet was even submitted? It ended up being submitted today I'm confused!
  16. How are they testing RMR on you all? I stood on a machine and held the handles and it came back with 1500 ish. I have no idea how accurate that was.
  17. I'm curious. How soon should we try and up our calories so we don't reset our metabolism? That is the last thing I want to do. As it is my resting metabolism is 1500. I'm preop and want to have as much knowledge as possible.
  18. Yup. I was going to say the same thing. Definitely have them check for c diff. I'm surprised they didn't.
  19. I'm pre op too. For me the only way to break the sugar addiction is to abstain. I have so little control with chocolate and sweets once I start eating them. I've also read that most of this stuff goes down easy after healing so it will be a life long commitment to abstain.
  20. I think every one of your complaints are valid. She's so disinterested. At least you have us! We will listen ❤ of course I don't know anything medically ? That's interesting about the hostile WW folks. If I ever go I'll keep it to myself for sure. when i I had my thyroid out the OR techs had a big argument right before I went under. I made sure to let the hospital know after I recovered. It was awful! I'm really sorry she's so unsupportive
  21. I hadn't heard this before! Truth!
  22. Surgeons aren't really known for their bedside manner. Mine is quiet and not overly friendly. Honestly, as long as he's good while he's operating I'll be alright with it. Unless he's like Blizair's doctor. That would infuriate me. So unprofessional! To the OP what happened at your three month appt?
  23. Wtf?!! Glad the NP is awesome though. Sheesh!
  24. Maybe you could still eat what most surgeons recommend. That won't hurt you either. I too live in a very small town. Every appointment in an ordeal. My psych consult gave me names of therapists who specialize in eating and each one was over an hour away. So you'll have to decide if you really want this sleeve to be the tool it is supposed to be and help it with other tools. If you can't make long drives for consult then I really suggest following what most surgeons recommend and doing some reading. I am not berating you and I hope it doesn't come off like that. Just hate to see you go through all this just to sabotage yourself. It's not too late to reverse your thinking.
