I suppose to pay $622.00. I said that's not bad considering the amount surgery costs.

I am praying for us sweetie. I know God will work it out. The wait is terrible though.

Well dawnie updates on me. I had a surgery date for July 11th. Unfortunately that has been postponed. My doctor didn't have a complete 90 days of appointments of me being on the program. I need one more appointment for the month of June which thank God I was able to get a last minute appointment on June 30th. Then I have to do an end of program appointment with my doc to discuss my progress on the program and anything relating to surgery in general. Then they will submit the remaining info to Aetna on my open case and reach a decision then. Hopefully I can have approval and a surgery date by end of July or early August. Trying to stay prayed up and keep my faith.

I know it might differ but for me I have Aetna Choice Comprehensive PPO. I had to do a 3 month disciplinary program (make sure it spans out for 90 days) with a end of program visit with my doc to discuss my progress on the program. I had to do a psych eval, upper endoscopy and a stress test. Thats basically it for me. I was scheduled for the 11th of July but had to postpone because my 3 month program didn't span out over 90 days so I need one more appointment for this month which is scheduled for the 30th. End of program appointment with doc hopefully around July 6th. Everything would be submitted to insurance again with hopefully a new surgery date for end of July or early August.

Thanks guys.. you guys are so inspirational. Lifted my spirits. I will be patient. I know what God has for me it is for me, and he knows I am trying to be a better me. Just looking forward to an approval. It won't be a possibility anymore. It will be a reality. It will let me know I am doing it. I am changing. I am going to try not to think about it too much. My mind is working overtime.

Well I am on hold for now. Surgery was supposed to be July 11th but my docs office messed up and I was supposed to have one more nutrition appointment in June so it's scheduled for the 30th. And then I have an end of program Appt with my doc in July hopefully on the 6th. Then they will submit the rest of the info to insurance. Hopefully an approval with a new surgery date for end of July or early August. :-(

Thanks for all the replies. I was just curious. When I heard the insurance lady say one night and for RNY I asked her "are you sure?" Gonna talk to my doc and make sure of what surgery I am getting. I jbkw we agreed on RNY but want to make sure nothing has changed on his end. But thanks once again. You guys are awesome and pray you all are doing great.

I supposed to be having gastric bypass surgery but they only put a one night hospital stay. I thought , well assumed that the gastric sleeve procedure is one night while the gastric bypass was two? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks; -)

Scheduled for July 11th if everything is approved and no hiccups anywhere along the line.

I think the wait is the worst part . At first I thought it was the pre-op diet but the waiting is far worse. Lol hopefully this time flies by for us. Praying for us on our journies. We got this!

See we are getting closer. Overcoming obstacles one at a time. Yes I start my pre-op liquid diet Monday. but I am going to start prepping tomorrow. I will post as soon as I am for sure. You do the same.

well or should I say more waiting begins. :-) my insurance company finally has all of my information and I am just awaiting approval. They gave me a surgery date of JULY 11TH if everything goes alright. I am really nervous now. I have no idea what to do. Any ideas???

So I have been going through it with my doctors office. I finished my 3month disciplinary program and met all of the criteria Aetna requires May 26th. My information was supposed to be submitted to Aetna May 27th. My doctors office has yet to submit to my insurance company. They have been telling me that they submitted to Aetna but Aetna says they haven't received anything not even a call. When I contact my doctors office they said we submitted on the 8th then they said the 9th and they will let me know an update in 7 days when they check with my insurance company. Something just don't seem right to me. I just don't understand what they are doing. Aetna even conference called my docs office and they never answered or returned the insurance companies call. They tried twice and got voicemail both times. Beginning to question if I picked the right doctors office. Anyone else experience a doctors office like this or been put through a similar situation. Please shed some light for me because I am getting a little bummed about everything. Thanks :-)

You go dawnie. Sending prayers up and praying blessings flow down. I am still getting the runaround. Nothing still submitted to my insurance company and it's been two weeks. Thinking about switching my doctor. Tomorrow is my breaking point if they still haven't submitted. :-0

Congrats to all of you. I wish I could share a June date but my doctors office is giving me the run around. They were suppose to submit my information to Aetna almost 2 weeks ago but they still haven't. Every time I call it's another excuse. Today they promised to submit it today and guess what.... still haven't. Don't know what to do. Thinking about giving up you guys. I thought the doctors office supposed to help you and motivate you, not stress you. At a loss for words. :-(

Awwwww well I hope you get a date soon. The wait is terrible. Praying for you dawnie. I know it will happen soon. The diet gets easier as the days go by but I think I would be ecstatic whenever the insurance company let's my doctors know something. Or I call them everyday to get an answer. Lol
