  2. I have Dr. Van Wagner too. I'm going in for my one week appointment today. How has it been for you so far? Anything you weren't expecting?

  4. Hi friends. I got my surgery on Monday. Surgery day and my stay in the hospital was pretty uneventful. They were able to do one incision around the belly button. I was in a little bit of pain but not too bad. Walking really did help a lot! After coming home they gave me some pain killers which I have only needed to take at night to help me sleep. I was asked to get down at least 64oz clear liquid and 15-30 grams clear liquid protein. The water for me is no problem but the protein water is NASTY!!! Like it's worse to me than cough syrup but I've been getting it down. Today is day 4 and for the first time I feel I have something stuck in my throat. I'm not sure what's that all about but it makes me pretty uncomfortable. Just wanted to give you all an update!
  5. My particular diet is called clear liquid so no protein shakes unfortunately. But I have lost 20 lbs in 7 days. Which is awesome! I will definitely let you know how I feel after surgery and any tips I learn or anything! I'm happy to have a sleeve friend
  6. I am going through Dr. Van Wagner with Heart of America Bariatrics. I will be getting my surgery at Mercy Jefferson hospital in Festus. I'm getting pretty nervous too trying to take it one day at a time. We should definitely keep in contact. I've been looking for some support/ someone to talk to about this stuff!
  7. I'm also in the St. Louis area. Having the surgery Jan. 4th. Currently struggling with a 2 week clear liquid diet lol.
