  1. I had the opposite. After my fourth fill, I could only get down water very slow and it took 20 mins. to drink a soup at hand. The next day, I feel I hardly have any restriction.
  2. I just had my fourth fill. Right after the fill, it was slow going with water and took 20 mins to drink a tomato Soup At Hand. I ate a few bites of dinner and then had to throw up. Thursday and today, I feel like I have no more restriction than before. I don't understand. I am 3 months post surgery and have only lost a few pounds. I try just not eating but then I get so hungry i end up snacking. If i eat a scambled egg for breakfast, a sugarfree yogurt and a piece of lowfat chhes for lunch and then some protein and veggies for dinner, I still don't lose weight. I thought this fill would be "the one" the day I had it and then one day later I'm back to normal. Able to more than I should and getting hungry after 2 hours. This is really frustrating!@!!!
  3. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not like this with other aspects in my life but with weight loss I become ocd and want immediate satisfaction. I probably weigh 6 to 10 times a day. My family has tried hiding my scale but I can't handle it. It realy is the only thing I'm like this about. I really am pretty normal otherwise.
  4. I'm right there with you. I was banded on 1/21/08 and have not had much weight loss yet. I too look at the posts of others and see such a difference in weight loss results. At this point, I am very discouraged. i had my first fill a week ago and that didn't go so well. They put in 2cc to my 14cc band and I could not swallow water or saliva. They took out a little over 1cc and now I no restriction just like before. I go back for another fill on 3/5. I have only lost about 6 pounds since my surgery. I guess I could go on a diet and starve myself with just very little food, like what you are supposed to eat when you have restriction but I will be hungry and miserable the whole time. I have had chest congestion and have not been able to work out for a while. I am about well so I will resume workouts and maybe that will help some. Now I'm am thinking maybe I had the wrong surgey. I should have had bypass and would be losing faster. I will admit I am not as heavy as some. I have a BMI of about 36 right now so maybe my weight loss will be slower than some, however I always lost weight pretty fast doing weight watchers. I'm just very frustrated right now. We are going on vacation in May and I have some swimsuits that I could wear if I lost 30lbs. so that was my goal. At this pace I don't think I will make it. Sorry to be such a downer but that is just how I am feeling now.
  5. You have done great. I can lose weight fairly easily without the band, especially with Weight Watchers. The trick for me is keeping it off. Quit dieting, old habits, weight comes back. Hpefully I can prevent that yo-yo with the band. Had my irst fill an hour ago. They put in 2cc and I couldn't swallow water or saliva. They removed a little ove 1cc. We'll see what happens now.
  6. I just had my first fill less than an hour ago. Mine holds 15cc and they put in 4cc. I could not swallow water or saliva. They took out a little over 1cc. Water is going down ok but now I'm nervous to try anything else.
  7. wow Grace you have lost a bunch. When were you banded? Did you not see significant weight loss until after fills?
  8. I was banded on 1/21/08 and have only lost 5 lbs. Does it really make a difference once you get a fill? I sure hope so because I am getting pretty discouraged. i go for my first fill tomorrow. I would really like to lose 30 lbs by the end of May. Is this even possible?
  9. Destiny, how much weight did you lose before your first fill? You have lost a lot since your surgery.
  10. That is the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. I get in all my water everyday and and have also taken a diuretic. I know my sodium intake is nothing compared to what it used to be. I moved on to soft foods yesterday. Maybe this will jump start my metabolism. I am also doing a mile on the treadmill with part of the time being at the steepest incline. Things that make you go Huh.
  11. I'm experiencing the same thing. I had surgery 1/21/08 and hve not lost 1 pound since the surgery. I am also following the diet faithfully. I lost weight much quicker with Weight Watchers. It's very discouraging to have not lost anything!
  12. My favorite fat joke: Hey, did you hear about the fat girl who lost weight and they found out she really didn't have a pretty face?
