  1. Well, I had a $25 Macy's gift card and a $10 Macy's coupon, so I splurged today, paying a total of $14.99. I must say they are interesting and pretty comfortable. I give them a .
  2. Ready, why do you say you will never be able to wear them?
  3. I started a new tradition after my last fill. I drive straight over to a clothing store and pick out one or two items. I love it! It is so rewarding. As for what we all do with our old clothes, it would be nice if we had some sort of clothing exchange. I have no idea how it would work, but it sure would be neat.
  4. Curious if anyone has tried the new "Fit Flops"? They are $50 at Macy's and am interested in your thoughts before dropping that kind of cashola. The FitFlop
  5. Dear Vitamin Snob: lol. just kidding. if you have a costco in your area, try the liquimax liquid vitamin. remember to refridgerate it after opening. i read that on the label a month later after opening and drinking it for the entire month. ewww.
  6. Best of luck towards a permanent lifestyle change. That is what I beleive will make us bandsters successful. Sounds like you are eager to get on track. You can do it! :leaving:
  7. i wouldn't eat that as a mushy becuase of the pasta's carbs. Try some salmon, my doc said that is considered mushy. good luck. =)
  8. find an attorney. report it to the company. save all evidence. don't eat sb meals again.
  9. I was bloated for nearly four weeks. It will fade. Walk out that gas! But, as always, if you are concerned or if something doesn't feel right, give your doc a call.
  10. Yes, most of us have been right where you are now. Weird thing is I look back and think about how I could have done without the farewell to food tour after insurance approval. I don't really miss anything...really, not at all. Most things I was shoving down before my preop diet I can have in some form, i.e., take the bun off the hamburger, order the pasta sauce without the pasta and just chicken, low carb ice cream occasionally, etc. Now I am seeking the proteins out first out of habit. Be strong, especially on your preop diet. You can do it! You have come this far already!!!
  11. Shiny, you look amazing. I showed my husband and he was impressed at your progress too. He said, "Wow, that lady looks way different." Keep up the good work!
  12. MissBandAid! You are so cool! We must be band-sisters now.
  13. Wow Jax, you look super. Thanks everyone for the kind words!!!!!
  14. Well, I have more of a fill than I thought. Guess I should write this stuff down. After my third fill (as of today) I am at 4.5cc in a 10cc band. I am anxious to see if I feel any restriction becuase my restriction feeling was mild at 4cc. :tongue2:
  15. Here is a before and after at three months. I can't tell too much difference but I am down two sizes! Also, here is us camping this weekend. My head is not that big in real life. lol.
  16. Odd. I didn't ever imagine myself posting something like this on here. But, yes, when I put my legs over my head it hurts my port a little and I feel like I need to hold it in place. I think all of you and what weight I have lost so far have given me the courage to try out the top again. Must admit, sex has been lazy. =)
  17. Wow. I was banded on 2/12/08 and had two fills at .5 cc each in the small band size, totalling 1 cc. I don't think I feel much restriction and can really eat a lot if I am not thinking about when I am full or not. Maybe my doc is shy on the fills. I was having some problems feeling a full sensation when exercising so they said they would fill slow, but sheesh.
  18. I would have done that same thing, 'cept ate a whole friggin bloomin' onion. lol. We will leave the gate to Bandland open for you.
  19. Congrats on quitting smoking and your banding. You are amazing! Also, hello and welcom lynburr.
  20. Amazing! Great job and keep it up. =)
  21. WTG Minock, keep up the good work. You CAN DO IT! Thanks again everyone. I am feeling great today. I am off to find a new protien shake becuase for two more weeks I have that and Clear liquids only. My EAS drink makes me want to BARF! Angie, I didn't realize we were born-again, or should i say "Band-again" on the same day. That is great. How are you doing? I think i will go read some of your posts to check up on you. =) -staci
  22. Whooo Whoooo! This place is FUNKY! Thanks guys. Everything was smooth as butta. (sorry had to) I had to get seasick patch on the side of my neck becuase I felt so woosy. I think what is really hurting is the gas pains in front, sides, shoulders and back. The most comfortable position is standing. My husband bought me some sippy cups bc I was drinking my Water too fast and that seems to be working. Very proud of myself for my pre-op diet (starvation) dedication. I didn't cheat once. Not a crumb. Not a sip. Not a lick. I lost 15 pounds! **Funny Story** I was just barely waking up today after surgery and they brought my husband in. I pulled him near and faintly said to him, "I was dreaming. We were ponies." It hurt to laugh, but him and the nurses thought it was so damn funny. My husband and I have this long-standing saying that we stole from Susan off Desperate Housewives. Hilarious to us, sorry if you didn't think that was funny, you may have needed to be there. =) -Staci
  23. I wanted to post this for all of you to see. Thank you to each of you for your support. Becuase of everyone here at this site and in our VV group, I feel great. I am on my way to the hospital for banding this morning and I couldn't have done it without everyone. Thanks again and talk to you soon. -Staci
