  2. I was one of the lucky ones too, I had no pain or discomfort post operative either. I went back to work one week later (desk job) and have counted myself very lucky. I had prepared myself mentally for the worst based on other peoples experiences. It really is an individual journey for every single person. Congratulations, BUT do not push yourself. Follow the guidelines set by the physician so you don't have complications. No matter how good you feel you are still healing on the inside.

  4. I am so glad someone else asked this! I am 22 days out and have felt some of the same feelings. It does feel like a hunger pang, and is satisfied with anything. Limited choices being on pureed and soft food. I am also having issues feeling full after just a few bits and then feeling "empty" again fairly soon, like an hour + later. Any advice?
  5. Congratulations on taking the biggest step towards taking care of yourself and your health! I am a newbie too, surgery on 12-7-15. I have to second what LSG said regarding other people's reactions, "please remember it's a reflection of them and their insecurities and/or self-esteem issues and not yours." I have not told very many people, but some have seen that I have made changes to my diet and exercise habits. That is what I am going with. I sort of just decided that it is not everyone's business that I had a surgical assistance to my weight struggle. Best of luck to you as you go forward in this amazing journey!

  7. Day 8 postop with a two week liquid Protein diet I was over shakes too. In an effort to avoid Protein Shakes I have purchased an unflavored Protein powder. I have been able to mix it with Soups and broths with no change to the flavor or texture of the Soup or broth. It made beef broth look a little bit creamy, The flavor was unchanged. It is the best way i have found to get 24gm of protein without a shake.
  8. I am only 8 days postop and had this issue while I was still in the hospital. When I spoke to my Doctor, she stated that it could be a muscle spasm in the area where the esophagus meets the top of the new tummy. They gave me a anti spasmatic medication and it stopped.
