  1. all those pounds in 4 weeks? What has upset you about that? I am amazed and inspired by your story!! I was sleeved 12/30 and did have the starves one day. I wish i could chug a bottle of water!!! I am trying coffee right now. So far so good. HW 263No idea what my current weight is....I haven't gotten on the scales since surgery. Tomorrow I visit DR and will see my numbers!!! Good luck - I am a good listener!!
  2. I was in for 4 days, longer than usual. I had my colon removed a year ago - so a whole new users manual. I have been home 24 hrs and already made a trip to Michaels Craft Store - my belly is sore, a bit swollen, and I protect from being bumped. I haven't weighed - I have a dr.appt.1/6 - probably expand my diet some. Right now I am restricted to only clear liquids. Sugar-free and fat-free jello and popsicles, no caffiene, decaf tree,.and.chicken/broth stock...when I look at that list - I better lose 10 lbs! How many grands do you have? Forgot the live part. Boise - been here 6.months

  4. Hi everyone! I live in Boise - homebase is NC and the beach. Hmmmm how did that happen? More exciting is I was sleeved on 12/30!! I am sore (hiatal hernia also) but no more so than gallbladder surgery. I hope to hear from you!

  6. 87 i am 59 and had surgery 12/30. I feel pretty good - I did have a hiatal hernia repaired also. I have been heavy for most of my life. I would like to loose 100 lbs. I haven't gotten on the scales yet. Not until dr appt Wed morning.. I look forward to hearing about your progress! This is my new year of me!!
  7. I had surgery the same day. I am still in the Hospital. I am having lots of trouble keeping my blood sugar up high enough. Will have to wait till rounds to find out what we're going to do. Not in much pain just confused about the sugar.

  9. i am 2 days post op. My nausia is horrid. Gas has pretty much worked itself out. Every tastes gROSS -miss good old water...it feels so worth it already###
  10. I have had my colon removed. I have to have hernia surgery involving where my ostomy was at the same time as my sleeve. Thank you for the info about your friend and her words of warning!! I have already been told by dr to wait for his clearance before doing much besides walking. Regardless! Tomorrow is my day!!
  11. I can not wait to be feeling well enough to get off this couch and MOVE! 5k!!! I make so many excuses right now. My surgery is tomorrow (12/30) and I am counting the hours!!!!

  14. I finally have less than 24 hrs. I think I am a bit concerned about almost everything. ???? I have 2 broken bones in my foot - that ought to make things interesting. At least I am down to an air cast, easier than that darn hard cast. I am so ready - hope everyone is feeling better today!
  15. my surgery is tomorrow also!!! I have to wait till 4pm. I have cried, complained, been a snob and overall a nasty woman today. I am alone for the evening and until time to go to hospital tomorrow. Its driving me nuts. Good luck!!

  17. I had a cheeseburger/fries/coke last night. Now its Clear liquids till midnight. I am glad I left somethings around the house to finish up. Yea me and the wonderful changes I am doing for myself!!!!

  19. I loved your post. At first I thought I was too old. Not even close!! I am a bit nervous - well maybe more than a bit. What a way to start 2016!!!! This is my gift to myself for my 60th birthday in June. I hope to be significantly healthier, and a big smile on my face. Congrats!!
  20. I have been excited for the holidays to be over! Not only for surgery the 30th, but because it was my first Christmas away from my family in NC. I moved to Boise to have surgery, staying with cousins for support. Its all going to have a very happy ever after.
  21. My day is Wed. I am on a food extravaganza. I have thrown everything out. Had shrimp and a baked potato. And butter....lots of butter. My dr didnt put me on any pre-op liquids. No more tomorrow is another day to start a diet. I am changing my life - looking forward not lifting my stomach apron to fold clothing into it so it doesn't stick. I am in this forever.
  22. what a great story! My surgery is Wednesday. Right now I am 265 - about 50 lbs more than ever. Thanks prednisone and a 12 month long pitty party. Congratulations on a job well done and sharing your success story with us.
  23. My day is Wednesday. This has been the longest weekend of my life. I just want to get the surgery part over with. Good luck and good new you for 2016
