OK- so I have awhile until I will be "BANDED" but, I was wondering what everyones favorite form of protein/shakes/powders were? I have no clue about stuff like this, and I figure I should start searching around soon.
Thanks
So what happends if you go into the 6 months supervised and lose a ton of weight?? Do they then cancel your surgery since they know you can do it on your own?
Asking because, I have to do 6 months too... And I was going to use this time to get a hang of the eating practices I will have to have Pre/post op. I was going to do a week/month on a liquid diet... and then keep my calories around 1200/1400 the rest of the time... I just dont want to lose 60 lbs doing that and them be like "you can lose weight on your own, you dont need the surgery??"
I am not yet a bander, but from the things I have taken on home the doctor. I would say try stay around 900-1100 calories... Keep your Protein high, and use a tracker app on your phone or tablet. Myfitnesspal is a great one, or if you want to track your calories out as well, a fitbit is amazing! You can track both at the same time!
Best of luck!
OK, so I am not yet "banded" but am looking into it as an option for weightloss. I am reading all of your stories, and trying to become a part of the community, but there are few things I am currently unfamiliar with. Like the term "fill?" I saw a spot while creating my profile that asked, "First fill, second fill, third fill?" WHAT IS THAT?
