  1. Dannon makes a greek yogurt called Triple Zero. It's the only yogurt I have been having since surgery. It has no added sugar & no fat. The best part is that it has 15 grams of protein and comes in a variety of flavors!
  2. I'm down 19lbs. I get to start soft foods tomorrow. Still trying to get used to eating 2 ounces of food and feeling full , if I even get to finish the 2 ounces! Loving it! Still feeling the the pull of the stitches, if thats what it is, near my 2 larger incisions but nothing really to complain about!
  3. Came home on Wednesday. Only had to stay one night. The gas was the tough part but it's finally subsiding. Today I almost got all my fluid and protein in so I'm happy for that. Other than a little soreness I have to say It wasn't as bad as I thought. I hope all of you are doing well. Keep me posted!
  4. I've been home since Wednesday. Luckily only had to stay one night. The liquids are getting easier to get down and the gas is finally almost gone. Just a little sore but nothing I can't handle. Hope everyone is doing well!! ????
  5. I had my surgery on Tuesday the 24th and even with 5 incisions the gas pain is worse than anything. The pain is mainly in my chest and back and I've been walking around to try and ease it and that helps. It has definitely gotten better each day since surgery but at night it wakes me up out of my sleep. I've been practically sleeping sitting up thinking that would help but I'm not getting more than 2-3 hours of sleep. How much longer should this last??
  6. My doctor was very good when I first went in to talk to her about it. She literally went over every option available to me from different weight loss drugs to all the different surgeries. She was concerned that I know all options before making a final decision. She was very supportive throughout the whole process and when I went to her last week for my medical clearance she told me with a wink that now I was going to be one of those skinny b**ches she hates! Lol My surgery is tomorrow, can't wait!!!
  7. Me too! It's a good nervous though lol. I'm scheduled for 9am, can't come quick enough!
  8. So glad to hear that!! I'm hoping for the same outcome. I know everyone has a different experience but I just want to do whatever I can to try and prevent it. If it works great, if not at least I know I tried. Thanks!
  9. I'm on the 24th! Can't wait! Good luck to you
  10. Thank you all for the information! So nervous getting everything prepared before I go in. Definitely gave me a lot to think about! ????
  11. Thank you! I have been taking 5,000 units of biotin for the past 2 months figuring I would give myself a headstart. My doctor said that I should be having 80-100 grams of protein a day and seeing how I am already getting sick of the shakes on my pre-op diet figured this GENEPRO protein would make it easier to get in by adding it to my drinks.
  12. I am having my surgery on Tuesday, November 24th. From recommendations I bought GENEPRO Protein powder which has 30 grams of protein per serving. It's supposed to be tasteless and odorless and not change the consistency of anything so I was thinking I could just add it to everything I drink to get my protein in. My biggest concern is hair loss and everyone keeps telling me that I need to make sure I get all my protein in and it should help. First, Is this true? Second, Is it possible to have too much protein in a day?
  13. I'm the same day! Good luck!
  14. Close, my surgery is Tuesday the 24th! Good luck to you!
