I had a drain but it was removed the next day at my follow up appt.

Jimney, 12/8 was my date too. Have had a good recovery so far. One more day of clear liquids for me then 2 weeks liquid diet. So ready to actually chew my food! Thought several times what in the heck have I done! But I know it is the best thing for me as I was inching my way on up to the 300 mark. My main problem is crushing my medicines as they taste horrible! Hopefully I will be able to take them whole soon. Best of luck with your recovery!

4 days post op. Will not weigh until I return to dr to get my staples out on Tuesday. My pain has been minimal, lots of gas though. Felt week the first couple of days. On clear liquids through Sunday and then 2 weeks of liquids including you yogurt and protein drinks. Can wait until I can actually chew my food!! Wonder how long it takes for ones stomach actually heals up?

Got sleeved at 7 this morning. Was home by 4 this afternoon. Have a drain tube still in me but go to dr in the morning to get removed. Pain on right incision which must have been the major incision. Been chewing ice, keeping an ice pack on, walking laps in the house and taking deep breaths. Only nauseated once with first liquid pain med in hospital. All is good so far, hope tonight goes well. Just took a pain pill in case I will need it while sleeping. Lost 12.4 lbs in my one week of pre diet ????. Best of wishes to today's sleevers!

My surgery today. .. I went back to the surgical room at 6:45 and the dr was done and talking with my husband by 8:15. The surgery was about an hour, the rest was preop time. I was home (45 mins) away by 4:00. No complications, thank goodness!

Dec 8th for me in Alabama, can't wait to get it over with!

Good luck to you both! My date is Dec 8th. Starting my pre op diet tomorrow. Trying to decide what I would like for dinner tonight. As bad as it sounds, I think Red Lobster it will be :-)

So glad to hear all of the encouraging stories! I will almost be 57 when I have my surgery on December 8th. I can't wait to be a new person!
