  1. Same here with the urinating all day. It's a hassle because they have to disconnect my IV each time. But I'm glad for it though bc the lady next to me hasn't been able to go since she got here today whereas I was begging to go as soon as I got in from recovery yesterday!
  2. I'm just sore all over. Incisions don't hurt though. Are you sore all over just from the trauma of the surgery?
  3. Congratulations! How are you feeling? Thank you! Sore all over like I got beat up but stomach-wise? Pretty great! Just sampled my dinner tray - chicken broth, sugar free Popsicle, lime green jello and strawberry-kiwi protein shake. First time I've been awake to eat the broth hot lol. Just little bites though. They told me the protein is most important so I saved it for last since I'm going to actually consume all of it. So excited for all of you guys though. It's surreal to actually have gotten it done!
  4. Just got sleeved yesterday!!! Should be discharged tomorrow morning. Good luck everyone!
  5. I will be discharged with Percocet and Ativan and lesvin i think, for throat spasms. And reglan for nausea. I haven't thrown up but sometimes I want to.
  6. Hey y'all! I had a hernia too! Lol! So random because it didn't show up on upper GI. He repaired it though. I'll be here one more night - doc wants me drinking more. My drinking got off to a slow start because my throat hurt. From being intubated. Anyone else intubated? And why didn't I know that I was going to be intubated until seconds before? I had seen them do it on fat dr but wasn't expecting it. That ish hurt so bad! Anyways, still have my IV. Drinking health wise fruity Protein shakes, broth and water/ice chips. Looking forward to going home!!!
  7. Lol!!!! Please don't let that be contagious lmao! I'm due any day now haha!!! I do not need that!!!!! That's so funny because I'm cleaning too!!! Cleaned my car out. Fridge is cleaned out. Kitchen cabinets. Everything in my bedroom is organized. Gotta shave your legs too don't forget lol!!!! LOL I did a complete shave, everywhere... I know nurses and Dr's privately talk.. didn't want that to be part of their convo. I also cleaned like crazy today. Washed my bed clothes and everything else. I know! Me too lol! Clean sheets. Clean bathroom and kitchen. Organized cabinets and fridge. Laundry is folded. Everything is in order. This is beginning to feel surreal.
  8. Mine didn't say but when I had my knee surgery a couple of years ago, they said the same thing. I never knew why but someone on here explained that it is because they use your nails to check circulation or blood flow or something. You know how your nail beds can get completely white if there's no blood flow (you press them down for a long period or something like that) but when there's blood flow they are nice and pink? That's why. I guess it's one of the things they check...heartbeat..pulse...nail beds lol. I got a mani pedi with no nail polish. So weird. The nail techs were like "you sure, you sure?" Like i was crazy lol
  10. Haha! Thank you!!! I'm going to sleep early tonight! Have to hit the road early to San Francisco at 4:30am. I'll definitely keep you posted! Thanks MsDiggs!!! Yeah I'm doing so many things today to keep busy!!!! I don't want to obsess over it anymore than I have lol!
  11. Yeah I've heard about those! And I've heard about the rashes from these things, even the Fitbit. That's awesome!!! Did they weigh you at all?
  12. I wish I could go home the same day! Mine is at 9:30am and spending one night at the hospital. Should be discharged by noon on Tuesday. I know @@Adina's_Journey is going to MX so she'll be in the hospital for a day or so and then will stay over for recovery I think.
  13. You'll be fine! All liquids today! My doc said milk of magnesia at 4 pm so I'm taking that too.Man your lucky! Mine stated milk of magnesia to start on Friday. Lol, every bit of liquid I put in comes right back out lol. But prettycali, you are having sleeve correct? When I did that one is was liquids the day before and it was fine. I would just keep to liquid today though, and maybe a dose of mom to help get it out of your system. Hi! Yeah sleeve for me! This time tomorrow I'll be on the chopping block....I mean operating table lol! Oh I wasn't the one who ate something last night that was Kayla! I'm on all clears today and milk of magnesia at 4pm.
  14. Wow we are close in stats! I'm down to 276 with this diet. Let's keep each other posted - you're one day after me! Yeah I put myself on a liquid diet for the most part but today I am mandatorily on all clears!!! So far so good! Glad you got to choose. A lot of people don't. You might like a Fitbit later on when you start getting more active its addictive to see your steps and try to beat your records. Then you can add other people and challenge them - motivating. And the app on my iPhone lets me track food, weight loss, calories burned - the Fitbit even tracks your sleep and how well you slept (restlessness, waking up, etc). Sounds like I own stock in the company eh? Lol.
  15. Clear liquids today! So excited for tomorrow! Literally by this time tomorrow I should be in surgery. On another note, my husband just walked in the door with a huge bag of Sonic ice, a large box of sugar free Popsicles and 10 packs of sugar free Jello (4 in each pack) so I'm all set for my post-op diet. I already bought a large container of premier Protein powder and a case of 12 ready to drink ones. Here's what I get to choose from: Feeling sooooo ready!!!!!!
  16. You'll be fine! All liquids today! My doc said milk of magnesia at 4 pm so I'm taking that too.
  17. Thank you!!! You too! Have a safe flight!!!!!!!
  18. Amelie, I'm Catholic as well and I'm getting myself ready too! Thanks for your post - it was very necessary this morning! we're all here for you and I can't wait to hear how things go for you!
  19. Hi! I'm from Sacramento but having my sleeve done tomorrow morning in San Francisco! I'm at CPMC with Dr. Jossart! Good luck with yours!
  20. What's weird is I actually wish it was lol. I've lost 10 since I put myself on a pre-op (mostly liquid) diet but if it had been a requirement I would've been more strict with myself and I probably would've lost more.
  21. @"Adina's_Journey" Yes! I am so excited!!!!! I am killing time organizing and reorganizing my cabinet with my shakes lol and double checking my hospital bag. I can't wait either and I definitely agree we all need to keep this thread up to support each other! I switch to clears at midnight and then nothing after midnight tomorrow! I can't wait!
  22. Ah! 3:45! I would be so anxious too! Mine is at 9:30 am with a check-in time of 7:30 am. Any later than that and I think I would go crazy! good luck!
  23. I swear people act like we get wheeled into recovery 100lbs lighter after these surgeries! Sheesh! Tell him it's hard and you'd like his support not stress.
  24. Because what she did was messed up, that's why. I don't have any positive suggestions - I'm the type who strongly believes "show me who you are and I'll believe you" and in this case she has shown you who she is. You let her ride so long and facilitated her riding free of charge and when you need her to help you out for a little while she can't but turns around and does that...in my book she would be cut off. Reduced to a hi and bye friend. I am sorry you have to deal with this as you seem like a sweet person. I hope you find resolve.
