  1. Update! Tuesday - great day! Hit Protein and Water goals. Hit 8000+ steps on my Fitbit so that's cool! I usually don't do that many... Wednesday - didn't do that many steps; 4000 I think. Hit water and protein goals again! Headed home tomorrow night.
  2. Update: I hit all my goals today! 63g of carbs 50 oz of Fluid It was perfect! Hopefully I can maintain this. I had 487 calories - highest so far I think. Excited to see how I do the rest of the week. Flying out to Palm Springs tomorrow morning so I hope I can maintain. Taking some Protein shakes with me just to make things easier.
  3. I was addicted to Canada Dry when I was pregnant lol.
  4. I'm the same. I was telling my husband it's like if I have 2oz in one meal the next meal I can only get 1oz. It takes over an hour to drink my 10 Oz Protein shake. I know! Which is annoying because they're really good only when they're cold so when I grab one on the way to work it sucks because i only get to drink 1/3 of it cold lol.
  5. Thank you! I feel like it's slowed down but at least I'm not at a stall! :-) Goals are definitely key! And I think yours is an awesome one. I set that as my goal in December because I knew it would hurt me after surgery if I even dared to do it. According to my husband it would "make my new stomach explode" lol which was enough for me to give it up cold turkey. It was hard! I was so used to always ordering my food with a diet coke and we had cases of coke zero always at home. But I did it and I'm sure you will do great with your goal! :-)
  6. Update: Weight today - 259 even. So happy for that! Dr. said 21 pounds in 21 days and I'm at 24.4 from surgery date which was 21 days ago! Glad I'm ahead of his schedule! Goals this week: lose maybe 2 - 4 lbs, hit Water goals for 5 days in a row and eat at least 400 calories each time.
  7. Thank you!! He's always helping me - no way I could've made it through this process without him - he's my support system. These foods have shown me that I cannot eat as much as I can drink lol. There is definitely restriction there! I really, really have to pay attention to full signals otherwise it comes right up.
  8. Thank you!!! Yeah, I think he's been a godsend throughout this process! On a good day, I'm at 455. But I average out about 360 to 400. I track everything that goes in my mouth and I can't seem to get beyond 455. I'm supposed to be at 600 and I wonder if the low calories are affecting my weight loss. I try and try and try but I can't get in any more than that.
  9. I was wondering about hiccups - I'm scared to get them but good to know they don't cause damage lol. Sometimes I feel like im getting them but I don't. My weekend was great! Glad yours was too! I feel totally healed from the surgery, I just need to continue getting used to my sleeve. I'm very sensitive to quantities right now and I have noticed that 1.5 - 2 ounces is my max capacity for food. I can probably do 4 oz for liquids if I drink carefully. Anyways, have a great week everyone!
  10. Update: I have a cold no bueno. I haven't really wanted to eat anything the past couple of days but I know I need to force it down. So far I've added chowder, eggs, chili, lunch meat and Greek yogurt to my allowed foods. Next week - the 29th - I go to all foods. Slowly. I do think I might stay here for a while with these foods because I haven't been able to consistently get in my Protein and Water. When I can do that for at least 5 days straight, I think I'll be good. Hopefully I can do that this week. I'll weigh in tomorrow. Hoping for at least under 260 this time. Haven't started working out really, just light weights. But i will start cardio this Friday when I return from Palm Springs. Hubby is going with me to make sure I'm good. Lol! He's so overprotective these days...
  11. Whoa! Did you feel ok? I couldn't imagine how that would feel!!!! Glad you caught yourself!I felt okay afterwards but I understand why they say no alcohol for 6 to 8 weeks.Mine made me sign a contract saying I understood no alcohol for 3 months and that even then it would only take a few sips to get me tipsy.Well now I have blood in my stool and have to double up on these meds that they prescribe to heal our tummy. How a tiny little .... oops... can bite us in the butt. I bet I don't forget that again. Oh wow! Hope you get healed quickly!
  12. Yeah every day has been different for me too. One day 1.5 oz of something is ok. The next it's not. One day I can drink 4oz of broth. The next, only like 2. Can't wait for some real consistency.
  13. Whoa! Did you feel ok? I couldn't imagine how that would feel!!!! Glad you caught yourself!I felt okay afterwards but I understand why they say no alcohol for 6 to 8 weeks. 14. Compared to me it is but it isn't really you know what I mean? I had a 8oz protein drink for breakfast, 2oz of salmon for lunch, and will have 3 oz of soup for dinner. Your quantities are almost the same as mine, a little more, but your content is different so it might feel like a lot of food. It's not really. How many calories are you getting? Are you tracking? I'm using my fitness pal and I'm glad if I get 400 in. My dietician said I need to he hitting 600. Today so far I'm at 183. No Bueno.
  15. Whoa! Did you feel ok? I couldn't imagine how that would feel!!!! Glad you caught yourself!
  16. Like food food? Or like our restricted food? A lot? Like a lot lot? Or just like 4oz. Because 4oz is a lot! I actually feel like I'm going to puke every time I hit like 1.5 oz. it's annoying as heck.
  17. Lol! Our doctors are so different lol. I was cleared as of Monday for the gym - same as you low impact cardio but 5 - 20lb weights. BUT my sweet overprotective husband said I can wait on going to the gym until I'm fully recovered. He's so worried I'll mess something up but I really want to go. I do have the tendency to go hard and I think that's what he's worried about but I won't overdo it! Anyways, maybe he'll go with me this weekend and see that I'll be fine. I love him for caring but I'm ready to get to work!
  18. Today was another day. Still not where I need to be with Fluid. At 30 so far. I'm gonna try for 15 more before bed. Soup for dinner. Went down well. 1.5 ounces only. My sleeve must be really small lol! Anyways, haven't weighed. Won't weigh again till next Monday. I haven't been going in to pick my daughter up from daycare since I wasn't allowed to lift her so hubby has been doing it the whole time. Today I went in and the girls immediately said "wow you've lost weight! You look great!" Loving the compliments! I hope everyone is doing well!!!
  19. Mini update: 40 ounces 58g of protein!!!! Need to get Water to at least 64 before I feel comfortable working out. Long day. Super tired. Tomorrow is a new day. Thank God!
  20. Aw!!! I'm glad you like my updates!!!! Hoping I can motivate, inspire, entertain...all that! thanks so much for the love and support!
  21. It's really good but I can only take two or three bites and I have to stop. Not having to mash anything but its an option. I chew the soft foods very well. My options are really limited lol! Here's what I can actually eat (plus all full liquids from before): So as you can see it's not much but I'm happy! I still had to have a protein shake (30g of protein) this morning just because I want to make sure I can get it all in.
  22. Oh that sounds delicious. I can't start soft foods until 2/29. I think they want me to master these other stages before since I haven't been getting my pureed foods down well. It's right around the corner!!!
