Mine is 7:30am tomorrow! Eeek!!

You can do this! My surgery is tomorrow morning and I am nervous too! I've had thoughts like..."maybe I should just be fat and happy"...but I know myself and I am not happy and feel like crap all the time! We will be so happy when we look back on our journey and reach our goals! Good luck to you!!

My surgery is tomorrow also and believe it or not at 7:30 am also. What a coincidence?! I will be right there with you with the no sleeping tonight thing, but I figure I will be sleeping enough in recovery. Congratulations !! Thats so awesome!! Thank you so much!! They said I can drink up until midnight. And I love the no-frills advice on what to pack! I have only been under anesthesia once and did not tolerate it well...but that was nearly 20 years ago...so hopefully I will be alert and updating soon after!!????

On the second day of my pre-op diet and I am an idiot. I planned a Christmas party for tonight before I knew my surgery date and now am busy baking and cooking for 30+ people. Dang this is hard!! Lol

I spoke with my surgeon yesterday about it and he said to just monitor my numbers closely. He said if my numbers get low try taking a half dose and if that doesnt work stop taking it. I guess I will just need to wait and see!

My vsg is set for Dec 8th. My husband wants me to go out of town with him on the 14th. I know everyone is different as far as recovery, but any opinions on if that is too soon?

So, I meet with my Dr for my pre-op appointment tomorrow. And I start my 5 days of liquids tomorrow as well. I am so excited, but everytime I think about how close I am the butterflies start! I am a little concerned about my blood sugar dropping while on liquids. The nurse told me to continue to take my meds while I am on it, but I have had really low (like 40's) numbers when I take Invokana and skip even one meal. So we will see how this goes!

Mine is also. Where are you located? Fort Worth Texas!Neat! I use to live in Plano. I miss the area. I have to be at the hospital at 6am surgery scheduled for 10am. The agony of waiting. Let's stay in touch even though we are miles apart. Oh that is awesome! My surgery is happening in Plano! And yes let's definitely keep in touch, I'd love to have a surgery buddy!

I wish I had not told anyone but my husband. I only told my sister,my parents and a friend. My sister finds it "drastic" and makes constant comments about how she would never do it. My mom seemed supportive at first,but won't even discuss it with me now. Thankfully my husband and friend are supportive! Dec 8th is my surgery date!
