I have been heavy my entire life. Like most of you, I could lose a lot of weight when motivated but as soon as the motivation bulb went out I'd regain all the weight, and then some. I've lost over 100 lbs at least three times in my 59 years, but have never reached my desired goal, so it was easy to give up. So, finally, my doctor told me my weight "was a ticking time bomb"! That's when I decided to research bariatric surgery and found BariatricPal. My surgery is scheduled for 11/16/15 and I'm so anxious. My heaviest ever weight was 345. When I had my first consultation with Dr Bobby I weighed 330 and today I'm 295. I'm six feet tall and the doctor wants me to get down to 174. I think that might be unrealistic (I'd be thrilled to get anywhere under 200)!
