  2. Hey guys, I am new to this forum. My BMI is 35 I am 5 "8 and weigh about 232. I suffer from bad knees and ankels. My legs get swollen and i don't have good circulation in my legs and arms. I see a surgeon tomorrow. I already saw my primary doc and a stomach doctor. they said i have a good chance. i am just nervous that the insurance will deny it. Has anyone been in a similar position????:help::eek:
  3. I totally understand how you feel. but you must remember you are doing this for yourself, NOT FOR NO ONE ELSE! I haven't been approved yet for my lapband. But I am hoping everything goes well for me and I can get it by March. I only told a My mother, father and husband and of course kids. the only ones that didn't have anything negative to say were my kids. Go figure. My oldest told me if it is going to make you feel healthy and better about yourself that he is behind me 100%. I should've just told them and kept the rest of of the pic. LOL Anyway I wish you the best.
  4. Hi, I think it is just normal to be scared and nervous. But think of things on the brighter side. Think of how much better you will feel when you start shedding those unwanted pounds. I wish you the very best.:ranger:
  5. I need a pick me up. I am very nervous. I am been having alot of pain in my legs, knees and ankles. My doctor has spoke to me about the Lapband. I am nervous in regards to the insurance denying it. My BMI is only 35, but I am on the verge of becoming a diabetic and have a irregular heart beat. Let's not forget shortness of breath and swelling of legs and ankels. My appoitment is tomorrow with the surgeon. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I don't want to be turned down. My doctor and the stomach doctor said I had a good chance. Can anybody give me a little bit more insight.:help:
