Thank you all so much. I just got off the phone and they think they can get me in Dec. 14th. I will know for sure Thurs (hopefully). That is so much better than the 21st!

I'm not even worried about food. If they go to dinner, no worries, I will make sure I am set with Protein and Water.

Ride in a car, walk around, take them to see some sights (L.A)- I don't want to climb the Hollywood sign by any means, but I don't want to be laid up either. Thanks for any help that you can give!

The soonest they can get me in for surgery is Dec. 21. We have friends coming in that we haven't seen in like 3 plus years on the 28th. Will I be ok for Xmas? Will I be ok to go do things with friends when they get here? Should I wait til next year? I don't want to! Please, I need help asap before scheduling calls me back!

I actually came to the same in conclusion; but I thought it would be fun to see what everyone would eat if it was in fact, their last meal.

I am so sorry that you go through this, all of you! Friends and family are supposed to be supportive and help with hardships, no matter what! They are supposed to be the people we can count on. Instead, we count on those behind the computer screen that we have more in common with, no that I don't love everyone here; it's just not FAIR! Because I can be spiteful, I would send a pic in your hot a$$ jeans, looking sexy as hell- the next time you get that food pic, I would send that sexy one and say- Oh that looks good but I prefer this. Thanks;) This thread is amazing and I am so glad you posted it. But I am sorry that you have to use your emotional pain as motivation and now, my motivation. If we all had food "filters" we wouldn't be here, so your certainly not alone. Thank you again for sharing!

I appreciate any advice that anyone has! I got my approval yesterday. If it was up to me, I would have this surgery tomorrow. I really want to get it behind me so I can focus on recovery and the rest of my life becoming healthy. My husband wants me to wait until after the holidays. We have friends and family coming out that we haven't seen in years and he is afraid that if I have surgery at the beginning of Dec. then while everyone is here, he thinks something will go wrong and then I will end up in the hospital and ruin the holidays. I know everyone is different. I know that recovery time is different for everyone and complications happen. I need some outside insight, I don't want to talk to my family, I am not telling anyone about my surgery yet. I haven't decided who I can count on and who I can't. Help, PLEASE!

OH! It all sounds so good! I don't know what I am going to have before I start my 2 week pre surg diet. I'm not sure when I am having surgery. I want to asap, my husband wants me to wait til after the holidays so that while our company is here we don't have to worry about something going wrong and me ending up in the hospital or something. I want to do it the first week of Dec. which would give me almost 4 weeks before anyone is here for the holidays. Any thoughts? Maybe I should make a new post about it?

I hear ya. Use who you can when you can. I'm sure you will be fine, just make sure that mom and sis are there for ya, and know they are at your beck'n'call for a bit. you'll be good!

I obviously am no doctor or professional with this, but I would definitely talk to your Dr. and ask what s/he thinks. Do you have someone that is going to be there with you to help you? Do you have anyone that can come help you with the baby? Oh, I think your going to need help! I couldn't imagine and mine are 11 and 12 now. Time to call in some reinforcements!
