I do not have to do the 2 week liquid diet. Only 2 days if clear liquid before surgery. He said 2 weeks of low carb diet is just as good on shrinking the liver as 2 weeks of liquids.

Anyone get dry mouth after surgery? Is there something that can prevent that

I went on a date this past weekend from match.com the woman said she won't go on another date with me till after I have the surgery and lose a little weight. I told her to please delete my contact info. I know I am going to look really good later. . . But that just sounded rude to me.

4 years ago went on a date with a girl from match. . She was my age and said she was single. Out of nowhere this guy that was maybe 30 years older showed up asking who I was. It happen to be her husband. This was at a movie theater with like 90 people around. He started talking loud saying everything she has and will ever have is paid by him, that he has gps on her car and cell phone, he had sex with her earlier that day..then he looked at her and said "isn't that right, b***h" everyone around got quiet and was looking at us. He then pulled out a wad of 100 dollar bills and asked how much did I spend on the date.. and he then put a 100 dollar bill in my coat pocket. I said man I don't want your money I think I'm just gonna leave. He said "no, just keep the money. I just saved you a lot of heart ache from dating this *****" I later found out he was the CEO of this company my job at the time was contracted to work for. The girl later called apologizing saying she wanted out of the relationship but he wouldn't let her. I told her to take care of herself first and foremost, and that I didn't appreciate the dishonesty when she told me she was single

Break ups always stink, even if it was with someone that caused you pain. It hurt when I broke it off with my daughters mom but it needed to happen. I felt "free" after a few weeks/months so i started living again, and doing what makes me happy. I'm happy to have my little girl full time. But yeah, congrats on taking care of yourself! I would suggest you not getting into a serious conversation with him after this or he may try to win you back with empty promises.

I'm sure it'll confuse some at first. I don't care if they think different of me for going through with WLS. if they like me then that's fine, if not that's fine too. I just know I'll be looking good and feeling healthier

I know what you're going through. I have full custody of my daughter because of the choices my ex made. I have been single almost 3 years now ever since I broke it off with her. I'm fine being a single full time dad. That was a really bad experience with her so I'm in no hurry.

I have a very physically demanding job so took 2 weeks off. The surgeon said most other surgeons are starting to do away with the 2 week liquid diet because they get the same results on liver shrinkage if the patient is on a low carb diet with only 2 days of liquid only before surgery. He gave me a list of the only foods I can eat for about 2 weeks. No breads, sugar free, lots of veggies and baked or grilled meat

How long are some of you taking off work? I start my liquid diet 2 days before surgery which is scheduled 10/30. Do most surgeons require the 2 week liquid diet? Mine use to but doesn't anymore. He put me on a low carb diet that I start about 2 weeks from surgery date. ..then only liquids 2 days before.

I decided I will stay both nights after the surgery since I live about 2 hours from their. Surgeon said I could go home the day of but I want to play it safe

I thought about that but I know I will be fine. By the time thanksgiving is around I'll be able to have mashed potatoes with this unjury flavorless protein powder.
