  1. Was sleeved on the sept 28th!
  2. Promethazine also known as phenergan makes most people sleepy. Did it not have that affect on you? I agree with the previous comment, you should ask for what you need for sure. Pain is what you say it is. Maybe you could call your Primary care and get some meds for sleep?
  3. Well I did okay with the Protein Shakes pre-op and did fine, but now I cannot tolerate them. I looked up the difference: Whey concentrate and isolates go through a process to remove most of the carbs, fat and lactose from "regular unprocessed whey" from whole milk. This process is called "ion exchange" or "filtering." Both result in an almost pure protein. A "concentrate" is 80% protein and an "isolate" is 90% protein.
  4. Sleeved on 9/28: my Doctor just advanced me to soft food today because shakes go right through me. I have mixed them with Water and milk and the same thing! 2 different flavors.. So my Protein isn't up to par but I have been getting majority of my water in which is nice. I am having a hard time mentally I guess... I am very emotional... it sucks! I am trying to stay positive as this is only the beginning of a hopefully wonderful new lifestyle and new me
  5. oh no problem! Looking for friends/support also!
  6. I think tortilla is either your doctors preference or a personal one.. My doctor allows tortillas starting on my week 3. Hopefully I tolerate it ok...

  10. I am having the same problem.. it's pretty overwhelming & I am not exactly sure why I am feeling like this... It's super frustrating, but there is nothing to do at this point but embrace the change and hope things will get better soon. Part of me wishes I got Lap-band or something reversible.. but I hope that my mindset will change soon.. it's tough
  11. Yeah.. a dating site would be nice!
  12. My surgery was 1 day before yours. Good luck!
  13. I was sleeved on the 28th and I don't think I had a bad taste in my mouth but my tongue is now white.. not sure if it is from the antibiotics or the Protein drink that I am drinking. But using mouth was and brushing seems to slightly be helping. It has been super difficult to get all the fluids and protein intake in for me, but the doctor said they don't expect me to get the needed amount in at this time but hopefully close to it.
  14. Newly sleeved and single! Looking forward to my new life
