Are u on a total liquid pre op diet? i am low carb high peotien no sugar

I am Nov 10, start pre op tomorrow and go to seminar and visit dr, getting nervous even though I have been waiting so long!

Time passes so slow when u are ready to move forward!

As I read different post I read of all the different kinds of pre op diets required. Some are all liquid , some have none at all, some like mine just require low carb high protein and no sugar as seen below, don't know why?

I thought the same thing waiting for clearance from heart dr but breath and pray and it will all fall into place

It finally feels like its going to happen when u get close to ur date and start pre op diet, congrats

Lafayette LA, have u purchased any protein powders for liquid phase, if not try nectar protein, u can buy a 10 pack sampler pack to try flavors.

Nectar protein is good, get a ten bag sample pack to choose ur flavor, it is working for me, so far i like crystal sky and apple, trying them before surgery and before I buy big containers

NMGAZ, I am excited for u, I wish I was brave enough and had a friend to go to mexico since I am a self pay and it is costing me a small fortune, I am 54 , 200 lbs and only 4ft 11. My date is Nov 10 also with a hiatal hernia repair which I see ablot of people have. I wonder if weight is the culprit for hernia? Any way best of luck and was happy to read I am not the only person over 50 who wants this.

I start pre op diet oct 27, surgery Nov 10, i am so ready to start this joirney, I have support of my husband and twin sister, but nobodybelse in family or friends know, have not tackled that battle yet

I would like to share age and stats which might help is relate to each others situations to those who are comfortable to share I am 54, 4 ft 11 inches, yes I am a shortie , weight 200, have has weight issues since college days and need extra help to loose and maintain, health issues are creeping up which helped me make up my mind, I will also be having correction of a hiatal hernia during surgery. Hopeful, I am ur twin as for as feelings and sleeve date. Mine is set for Nov 10, had scope today and also have a hiatal hernia which they will repair during sleeve surgery. There are many people who feel the same way, lets hang in there together and our time will come, keep in touch.

Where are u from, it would cost me a great deal just to fly there since I am in LA, how many nights do u have to stay

I understand but u need to do whats right for u, i wish I was brave enough , would save me a lot of money since I am paying out of pocket since insurance will not cover!

I have a date of Nov 10, I have a bmi of 39, i struggle to diet or not diet in month prior to surgery. I feel I need the tool of surgery to maintain weight loss, I have yo yo all my life, if ibloose to much now I will not qualify for surgery but feel loosing is what I should be doing, am I crazy?
