Let's face it. We are all in this situation because what we did didn't work. If we had that extra slice of pizza and walked extra, or drank more water and less soda, or made homemade soups with low salt and low carbs... We have ended up here, looking into or having had gastric surgery. I'm 52. I was dying. There is no doubt about it! Within a nine month period I needed a CPAP machine, was diagnosed with type II diabetes, my cholesterol shot up as well as my blood pressure. I was heading towards a major stroke or worse.

I am now nine weeks out. I am forty pounds down and a down from 3x-4x almost entirely into 2x. The first two weeks stunk horribly! I couldn't get fully into full fluids. Believe me, I was fed up with clear fluids. Things are much better now. There are still some bad moments here and there, but it's far better. I keep positive by focusing on the weight loss and celebrating it. I'm having a party when I hit 199! That's in 29 more pounds. I think it will have to be a bonfire and one margueritas! No more jumbos for me, but heck, that's ok.

The question is, for those of you debating, has everything else worked for you? If not, then this is your best option.
