I was sleeved on Oct 20th (4 days ago) and my husband is going in for his VSG in mid-Nov. We are excited to take this journey together. We have 2 teenage children and they have been supportive and are very independent. Quite honestly, this has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. I know the 2 week pre-op liquid diet and post-op diet will be hard on my husband as well, but with both of us doing this together I can help encourage him to get through the rough patches. Our 20th wedding anniversary is next year and I am looking forward to celebrating it right next to him on the losers bench.????
Good Luck to all those having surgery today! Mine is tomorrow, so I am only 1 day behind you and feeling excited, anxious, nervous and READY to start this next chapter in life. Congratulations for making it to this point... Let's Do This!!
Hi, I'm scheduled for Oct 20th, here in CA. I am on day 5 of the pre-op diet and have realized that the weekends are the hardest while spending time with family/friends and being limited to protein shakes, chicken broth & 1 protein bar a day. I am so looking forward to this new chapter in my life. Good Luck to everyone and I would love to keep in touch!
Hi There, I am a newbie in Rancho Santa Margarita and am scheduled for VSG on 10/20/15. I work in Irvine and am having my surgery at UCI by Dr. Smith. Has anyone had any experiences that they can share? I love reading all of the success stories, they are very motivating! Congrats to everyone on their progress!
