  7. Hi I am a 53 year old nurse who is scheduled to have my surgery on Feb. 1. Today I had my pre op exam and started my liquid diet. I would love to have some friends to do this journey to give each other support and encouragement. I am so afraid of failure as I have failed every diet I have ever tried. Thanks Sandy
  8. I am having surgery on 2/1 as well. I am 53 5'5" and 244 lbs. I started the liquid diet today that is required by my doctor. They are very regimented for this but that is good I like the structure. I am taking off per the doctor for 2 weeks after my surgery. I keep trying to imagine what I will look like thin so excited I can't wait
  9. Wow so far I only paid maybe co pays about 150 and will have to pay 175 for hospital and coinsurance. The most it will cost me is 400
  10. I am a registered and a certified diabetic educator I work for a very large hospital system and 15 endocrinologists
  11. I have Aetna I did everything required by them and after 3 months my Dr put in for the approval and it was approved and I am having my surgery on Feb 1. I had to do supervise medical weight-loss is two visits a month one with my primary care and one with the nurse practitioner at the surgeons office I had to meet with the dietitian I had to go to a support group meeting and I had a meet and get cleared from the psychologist

  13. I am scheduled to have my surgery on Feb. 1 and my doctor has me doing a liquid diet only for 3 weeks. 4 shakes a day and if still hungry can eat raw plan veggies such as carrots, celery, cucumber, onion or peppers. It seems a bit excessive to me but I will do what I'm told.
