I'm still in the hospital, I still have not passed gas or burped. I don't know what's wrong I've been walking like crazy.

Oh boy I hope it doesn't stay this way. Even the plain water taste sweet.

Why is everything I'm tasting so sweet? Has my taste buds changed. They brought me jello it's so sweet and now the chicken broth is sweet as well ugh and leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. Did anyone feel this way right after surgery?

Mine have changed also everything seems to be so sweet to me.

Hey I'm in Fort Lauderdale, my surgery was yesterday with Dr. Del Cruz at The University of Miami Hospital.

I'm feeling ok just lower stomach pain. I've been walking and should get released tomorrow. I taste some jello but it's super sweet so I don't want it. I heard that my taste buds would change I guess they have. Lol

@ you will do great. They found problems with me. They said when they went in they saw that my intestines were in the wrong place and kinda twisted plus my colon was floppy and shaped funny, which is why I'm always constipated. So they had to fix somethings up. They removed my herina and ire firmed the bypass as normal.

Hey guys, my surgery went well. I woke up with a lot of abdominal pain but it's manageable now. I walked twice yesterday and trying to sip on water. Hopefully I feel better today. I don't like pain.

I was on a 2 week optifast diet, I lost 16 pounds.

I'm on day 5 drinking Optifast as well, they taste pretty good to me. I have the vanilla and chocolate I actually look forward to drinking them. Hope you find one you like.

@@beachgal2935 thanks so much I'm going to try all of these things. Today was my first day on optifast it wasn't so bad, I did get a slight headache but it's going away now. I actually have 1 more shake to drink for the day but I'm pretty full from all the drinking I've been doing all day. I'm going to buy the drops tomorrow. ????????

@@Newnetty I started the Optifast today. I drink 5-6 shakes a day nothing else just shakes and water. I already have a headache lol. But I know I can do it.

@@StephOnTheMove, My surgery is Oct 20th, I started my pre op diet (Optifast) today. My surgeon is Dr. Dela Cruz.
