You will do fine, all the info on here has helped me out a lot! Just knowing I'm not alone helps!! @@thinner-me Good luck tomorrow in Class with 1st graders, hopefully it will be better before then!!! My husband & I were just in Saint Louis for a cardinal game! Thats where I was in the picture. We live in Missouri on the Arkansas Missouri border on Table Rock Lake by Branson. Yes the bathroom issues isn't fun!! I go from one extreme to the other, taking a spoon full of miralax everyday.

  7. @@guyfrom315 Glad your doing good, I have heard a lot of people complain of gaining some weight right away. I bet there is some swelling & water retention going on. & all that gas gotta weigh something surely lol! I think I'm going to try to stay away from the scale until I go for my 2 week surgery after I have my bypass. @@mizzmaryk welcome to our group & glad your pre-op diet is going well!   9. @@edie091371 No I'm doing 3 unjury shakes a day & 1 lowfat yogurt. Too bad we weren't going to be at the same hospital!! We could do our walk together after surgery!!!!! They said I would be going home the next day in the afternoon. I don't have a smart phone so I won't be able to let everyone know how I'm doing until I get home. Kinda cool that I have a buddy going in the same time!!! I will be in Fayetteville Arkansas having mine!

Glad your on this journey with us!!! @@edie091371 It can't get here fast enough for me either!! I have to be at the hospital Thurs. at 5:30am, first victim of the day for my surgeon! I told him he better be awake lol!! @@thinner-me I don't know what my husband cooked tonight, oh yes I do egg ham & cheese quisidias, it smelled so good!!!! Next time I'm going for a walk!!!

  15. @ Welcome! I'm 60 & having gastric bypass on Oct. 8th! My husband too is very supportive & knows how its affecting my health also! This forum has been really good for me, lots of good information. Very supportive with lots of good advice. Hope you get your date soon!!!
  16. @@cjd2010 Surgery can be scary! I think you will have no problem loosing weight, the people on here seem so willing to help out with suggestions on what to eat etc. I even found some good recipes for crockpot for later on!!!

  19. My nutritionist said people were having good results with taking the supplement Biotin from Bariatric Advantage. I bought some at my pre-op.
  20. @@lui Glad you found us! The place that I'm having surgery has support groups that meet but its too far from my home. So Bariatric Pal has been my total support besides my husband! Our Oct. group are a great bunch of people! @@MekeJohnson Welcome your surgery is the day after mine!!!
  21. So far we have 66 people on our "October list of Surgeries" topic. I'm sure this number will change as the month goes on. If you haven't found it, it should be somewhere below this topic in Pre-Operation Gastric Bypass Surgery questions & Ans.. Just leave a message there & I will add you. You can leave well wishes to the ones in surgery if you like there also. We have the best group ever & we all are going to get through this! Can't wait to hear about our success stories! Even @@covarrubia911 you will just be 3 months behind us & still our Oct. family!!!
