I go in for my day of reckoning tomorrow. I see Barb since Dr Hoffman is on vacay. I hope I didnt do to much damage this holiday season. Pregnancy seems to give you the excuse to eat more!

Between Vicki, Veronica and Yvette, If I didnt already have the band I'd be scared to death reading these posts...LOL.. Have a great Christmas everyone and dont eat too much (yeah right)

Eileen, you are definitley no imagining this, but its not b/c of the lap-band per se but because of all the weight you have lost. Its like losing all of your insulation!!You have officially lost your extra winter coat!

Vicki- yup I was weighed not by Hoffman himself but by a nurse on the surgery floor before the operation. I was no big deal and nothing was said. I cant believe they would cancel a surgery. So surprising. Of course you may gain weight the night or two before b/c you eat thinking its going to be your last meal. Renee- My aunts dr was Dr Viglianco at synergy. Im not to sure its the right move though. As I said they are very aggressive with the fills and my aunt can only eat soft foods without barfing or gaging. I think she is too tight and needs an unfill but shes being stubborn. Good luck with either decision you make.

Ok I have two things to say... Renee- Hoffman did have me weigh in the morning of surgery. But i was right around the same weight. Veronica- As far as Dr Caruana's practice I have my reservations. My aunt had her surg done this summer there and they dont do much with counseling or telling you what to eat after. She went in for her second fill and they gave her 4ccs all at once. She was sooo tight she couldnt eat. She had to have two unfills and shes still not right. I think they are pretty aggressive with fills. Yes they do answer their phones and yes you can get in quicker but I think they are a little more in it for the bucks than anything else. My aunt said they told a lady at the counter if she didnt pay right then she had to leave. She had to drive home to get the money so they would give her the fill!

I could see if you gained 10lbs but 4 doesnt seem to damaging. What was the reason they gave you that you couldnt gain any weight? Are you higher risk? Just trying to understand. If this makes you feel any better a lady at my work went in the morning of surgery and was canceled due to a rash so they sent her home. Im sure its devestating b/c you get all ready physically and mentally. Once again Im sorry you had to go through this.

Im here vicki, just havent been getting the updates for when someone posts. I lost some of my water weight gain so Im happy for now. Just trying to gain as little weight as possible over here but the food esp ice cream is calling my name!

Ok girls I feel like I have been in hiding. Im up@ 9lbs but I have a pretty good reason. Im 7 weeks pregnant and my dr. has taken me off my high blood pressure meds with a diuretic. I feel like Im retaining water like crazy. Im trying to follow the rules and gain as little as possible so I will keep checking in with you guys for support.

Sorry,I dont have an answer for you. I was on birth control during the surgery. I stopped six months ago and got pregnant in October. Good luck and keep us posted!!!

China, He didnt really say anything. It was my first appointment so I have to go get Nuchal transluceny test and come back in 4 weeks. The due date is 7/19/10 My 35th birthday.

Dewl, Im with you I have my first appointment tomorrow and have not seen any changes good or bad to my band. Im hoping to keep the fill in the whole time. My next band doctor appt isnt until 12/30 so I hope I can maintain my weight and not gain to much before that date. When is your due date?

I guess I will join the group. Im just found out Im pregnant on Friday the 13th. We have been trying for @ 6months so Im pretty excited. I was banded in June 2008 and am down @ 80 lbs. I dont want to gain to much weight and hope that I can keep my fill in for the duration. Im also on progesterone suppositries due to a previous miscarriage before the band. My est due date is July 19th, my 35th birthday. Although Im sure it will be moved because I didnt ovulate until much later in my cycle. Good luck to everyone!

Looking good Yvette. Jenn, I can never eat salad that always get stuck. Maybe your band is irritated so liquids will help things settle down?

Hello Ladies, Im happy to report that most of the weight I gained is gone and I dint change a thing. I think I was retaining water or something so hopefully Im on my way back down. Im trying to keep my comments possitive so I will stop here!:smile2:

Im here but not too thrilled. Im up like 3 lbs and Im not sure why? Ive been trying to eat a lot of protein blah blah blah. I think its a girl thing and will pass soon. Im thinking about not weighing myself for a week so I dont make myself crazy. Glad to hear you lost Vicki. Good job. And flying definitely made my band tight. I had to use my barf bag on the plane both ways!

Thanks for the compliments girls. So for the Halloween challenge I lost 6lbs. Short of the 10 I wanted but I'm still happy. Im back on the protein bandwagon because everything good is getting stuck and I mean Stuck. Pizza is a nightmare now I have to not even think about it anymore. All doughy bread is awful. So Im back to just meat and almonds cheese and oatmeal. I hope this will work. What do we want our Thanksgiving challenge to be? 3 weeks away....

Here I am in my Mary Poppins costume. I had a lot of fun and drank a bit too much! I think Im up a lb but whatever.
