  1. I am 3 months out from my surgery and wake up with dry mouth daily. It feels like the heater has been blaring all night long. Anyone else dealing with chronic dry mouth in the mornings? If so, have you discovered anything that helps? Thanks, Garry

    Dry Mouth

Yeah, I really do need to work on my hydration. I just need to keep a Water in my hand at all times. The day gets away from me and I often forget to sip water. I am only get 48 - 64 ounces a day, but I really need a lot more.
  3. I only had this problem once after surgery and it was terrible. Turns out I had oral thrush really bad. Check your tongue... is it coated with a white film? If so, you may want to go to the Dr. for meds. Otherwise, I suppose it's just a bad side effect of the surgery. Good luck!
  4. Hi Everyone, I am 10 weeks out from my surgery and have been very happy with my results. I eat according to plan, exercise, drink my fluids and log everything. I understand that stalls will happen, but I have been "stuck" for exactly 2 weeks now. Same weight to the ounce. I also take measurements and while I have seen a very small decrease during the stall, it's nothing notable. Is it normal to plateau for this long this early in the process? What are some methods for breaking out of a stall? Thanks, Garry

    The Plateau From Hell

Wow! 4 weeks would drive me a little crazy. 2 weeks has been terrible considering the amount of exercise that I am doing coupled with my limited caloric intake. I haven't been in the 260's for 20 years so I suppose I will hang out here and enjoy it for a bit longer before I visit the 250's Hopefully now too much longer though!

Thank you for the reply. I have has short stalls and then the weight loss kicked back in. This one just seems to go on and on. I will hang in there

    YES! IM APPROVED! ????????

    Congrats and good luck!
  9. Ryan, Everyone recovers differently. It's hard to say how you will do with your own recovery. I felt amazing the day after surgery, but really didn't feel like going too far at the 2 week post op period. I suppose I would have made it happen if I had something important to do, but I am glad I didn't have anywhere to go. Having a restroom in very close proximity is highly recommended at this phase If you do decide to travel, make sure you have all of the necessary food, drinks, meds and Vitamins to get you through your trip. Good luck!
  10. I am experiencing the same issue. My surgery date was 8/18. My pre-surgery weight was 312 and my current weight is 284. I lost most of that weight during the first couple weeks, but hit a few stalls. I was stuck at 292 for a full week and 285 for another full week. The scale didn't budge an ounce for days and it became very frustrating. I know I shouldn't be weighing myself every day, but I can't resist. At any rate, during the stalls I noticed the inches falling off. I have gone from a 44 pant size to a 38 and from a 3X shirt to almost fitting in an XL. I am walking on the treadmill for 3 miles/1 hour a day at least 5 days a week. I am eating about 650 calories a day and getting 65-75grams of Protein daily. I think I am retaining Water during the stalls and need to increase the amount of fluids that I am drinking. I am getting 64oz in each day, but I feel like my weight coupled with the amount of exercise that I am doing necessitates a larger daily intake of water. I go for my 1 month follow-up this Thursday, so I am going to discuss this topic further.
