  2. I chose the sleeve because it seemed to be safer/ less severe on your body with a shorter recovery and very effective. I did not even have to stay overnight in the hospital and have done great. I am 4 months out and have lost 60 pounds. I don't have any problems digesting anything (not even raw veggies) and my Dr personally favored the sleeve for me. Good luck. I would never turn back. This has been amazing !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This is scary as someone just operated on. I really want to do it but fear is so real. I hope I can. It's quite scary! I hope I have the tenacity you have @"Elode". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I had mine on the 9th and am doing well. Excited to be sleeved. Anticipating all of the changes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I had surgery November 9th. I had bad gas pain but no nausea. I'm one week PO tomorrow and am taking the hubby in to have his sleeve with Brian Long tomorrow at 11:30. So far, so good. I'm glad I did this! Wishing the scale would move faster but remaining patient. I've definitely gotten in very few calories and just been drinking ! How is everyone ? 6. Yeah my practitioner finished my sentence when I called. She said it happens in laparoscopic procedures sometimes and may take awhile but will eventually go away. Femoral nerve damage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. NP said the same thing. You're a smart cookie. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wow. Thank you! That sounds exactly right based on what I just read about it. I'm glad it's no biggie! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Awesome!! Best of luck. I think you'll be fine with your throat. Hope it goes away soon. Are you at surgicare Richardson? Happy Sleeve Day!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow. It is a little scary and I wonder why it happens ? I'll let you know if I find out anything further. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Did anyone experience their thigh going numb after surgery? I am 3 days post op VSG and nerve damage is what it seems like. It's completely numb in my right outer thigh. No symptoms for a clot but it's definitely numb and staying that way for a little while. Beyond just my thigh "falling asleep." I plan on calling the surgeon's office in the morning but curious if any of you experienced this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Walking and putting your arms up on the wall while someone beats on your back. That helped me the most to get relief. ( Was recommended by nurse). Congrats tbmichals and good luck. Dr. long is great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That would be cool. I work in Richardson at the new State Farm City Line building. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Sleeved yesterday and doing ok. No nausea at all but gas pain was overwhelming. Whew! Only managed one shake today and Water so 25 Protein and 170 calories. Hope I can get more in tomorrow. How are ya'll doing ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My surgery is Monday 11/9 and I am beyond excited. I know I will get nervous Sunday night/Monday morning but right now it's all thrills and happiness! Here goes! Good luck everyone. My hunger definitely decreased on pre-op diet and I did fairly well and lost 7 pounds, which for me , with typical slow weight loss, PCOS and diabetes I am happy with my 7! I can't wait for this extra MESS to fall off!! I know it won't be an easy task but it will be worth it.
  18. I am scheduled now officially scheduled 11/9! I am super excited ! Did you guys have to do a sleep study ? Did you pass/fail? I guess I just do the sleep study and hope they can get it all ready by surgery date. I'm hoping to pass but snore loudly so I may fail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Awesome !! When did you get your surgery date ? Recently ? I should hear soon. I'm getting anxious. Worried it's not going to happen because I want it to so badly. Kind of silly I know but I'll believe it when it's done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. 18 and 16!! That's awesome!! Woohoo. How exciting. Good job. Ya'll are inspiring. I am eating to my heart's content right now and starting to feel guilty. Lol. I know that 2 week preop is coming soon though!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. How are ya'll doing post surgery? Is one week off enough ? I should have my surgery date by Friday and then I have to do a final lab and sleep study before the big day. (that's what I'm told anyway). You kind of get little bits of into each time you communicate. Anyone else feel like that? I hope you're all doing great! Good luck MeMe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That sounds about right then because I had to bring down blood sugar and get a heart clearance from my cardiologist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Good to hear ! I liked him too. When was your surgery? I started in June and thought I'd have surgery in September. I'm crossing my fingers for November ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had a consult with Dr. Long today. I have to do my last round of labs and then my surgery should be within 30 days of the labs. Every time I go there's another step. So ready! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Congrats!! Minus the pain aspect. But yay!! You did it. Keep us posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
