  1. Glad you are better, I'm still feeling my pulling burning pain, I see doctor Thursday. Welcome to site !!!
  2. I feel sane way, mine was 3/28, pain is unbearable at times, I'm usually pretty good at pain. I handled my part Laparoscopic, part open incision surgery in December for my ovarian masses much better than this, makes that surgery feel like a cake walk. Also scared I don't have enough pain meds to last to my post op Thursday, travelling right now is not ideal with all my pain.
  3. Mine was 3/28, just got home from hospital, rough couple of days with the pain, it was more than I expected pain wise. Drinking going ok, def a challenge to get it all in, I am constantly feeling like the water is just sitting there and not moving eventually it does but uncomfortable during it.
  4. Good luck everyone, I'm 3/28 can't wait Sent from my KFSAWI using the BariatricPal App
  5. I have 9 days left to surgery, plan to shop in a few days so I'm set for awhile after surgery. Any suggestions on the best liquid Proteins 1st couple of weeks post op? Sent from my KFSAWI using the BariatricPal App
  6. Hello all so nice to hear I'm not alone on the preop diet. I'm on day 5 of 14. Surgery is 3/28. Down 12 pounds in 5 days on preop liquid diet, I swear that is what is motivating me right now and keeping me from eating, I could so go for eggs or a grilled chicken breast right now, lol. At least I'm craving good Protein I guess. Sent from my KFSAWI using the BariatricPal App

  11. Got my date today, March 28, surgeon wanted me to wait full 90 days from my last surgery to avoid any complications which I understand, so now the countdown to the start of my new life !!!!!;
  12. I think one thing that we all have to remember is that we are educated now on how this works because we have done the research, we will do the work so we alone know how hard this will be. I have to admit before I myself did the research and decided on it, I also had the opinion that WLS was the easy way out. I think as long as we remember that and remember that that others people's opinions dont matter because we all know for ourselves what we will or have done to be successful at this, we can all get through this. I'm also a little sassy and won't hesitate to tell anyone who tells me I took the easy way out that they are dead wrong and until they've walked in my shoes they can keep their judgemental comments to themselves .Lol.
  13. Yes I have Aetna it was submitted on 1/22 and I got the call from the coordinator on 2/02 that I was approved. So now just waiting on call to advise me of surgery date. I'm so anxious , lol. I hope you hear soon, I will be rooting for you, it's the best feeling after all the work we put in to get to this point. I'm in Cleveland so if want a buddy, be happy to. The.more support we have the better.
  14. @ so happy for you. I can't wait until I reach my 1st milestone after surgery. Still waiting on my date, so anxious
  15. Hi Ychani are you going through Cleveland clinic?

  17. I opted to only tell my immediate family and only a couple of close friends. I knew I would need their support, and so far they have been very supportive. As far as work, they all know I have a hernia that needs repaired after my oophorectomy / pelvic mass removal so they already expect me to be out for that. I gradually put on my last 100 pounds over the course of 10 years and never threw away any of my clothes so luckily with the exception of pants, I have tops and blouses to get me through my 1st 100 pound loss. A few people at my job have already had WLS and honestly they were my inspiration so I agree that maybe it would be a decision I make to let work know eventually know so I can inspire someone else.
  18. I'm approved. Yay. Now just waiting on nurse to call me to go over date surgeon agrees to so I can start the dreaded 2 week liquid pre op diet .... I've come this far though so I will get through it ..... Now just the date surgeon agrees to because of my other surgery

  20. Thanks nd Good luck to you as well. Best of luck to you sorry to hear you are going through so much.
  21. Thanks all. I know it's for the best so that I am able to heal again properly and not be in any unnecessary danger. The wait is just driving me crazy lol. Especially after I followed the WLS prerequisites to a T before the pelvic masses were found throwing a wrench into it all. But I will be patient.
  22. Has anyone had a major surgery before WLS? During the workup for WLS 2 masses were found so I had 2 benign abdominal/pelvic masses removed a month ago. My WLS approval was submitted to insurance for approval last week and by time I get approval back from insurance it will be over 6 weeks or more from my previous surgery. Dr. advised he may push me out more even if approved because he doesn't like back to back surgeries, which I understand. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this and how long you had to wait between surgeries. I know everyone is different, just curious since Dr. Didn't tell me just said would discuss after we get word from insurance.
