  4. 3 day pre-op diet for liver shrinkage. Post op: 1 week clear liquid, followed by 3 weeks pureed. I start my soft diet tomorrow and that's 7 weeks. Glad to hear you're moving forward, sometimes just making the decision takes a load off. Thanks BigRed! I am having the surgery on the 27th I'll be finding out next week in preadmission anyway, but I am curious, what was your post op diet after the switch given you already had the sleeve?
  5. Only stinky poo, unless there's a hygiene or other issue pre-existing. Remember that fat free usually equals chemical shit storm. Never a good alternative in my book. I tolerate fat ok for now, granted I'm not eating a whole lot of anything, much less high fat items.
  6. I had the sleeve in 2012. Good success, lost weight etc. Have maintained the loss for the most part. Then my gallbladder began giving me issues and my surgeon expanded his practice to a new doc that did the SIPS/DS. I figured since they were in there, why not. I could go for some more weight loss. I'm still only 3 weeks post op, but down 20lbs. Still having cramping, stinky, poo but I'm told this shall pass.
  7. I'm 3 weeks out and still have daily cramping w loose BM's. Waiting for things to firm up...
  8. Yes Jane, Have a had a PPI since my sleeve. I just try not to take it very often as long term use of PPI's are not good for you at all.
  9. Did this ever clear up? I have a major cramp fest every morning. Like seriously, I wake up needing to poop!
  10. Just had the SIPS last month, I was already sleeved but needed my gallbladder out and since I was there...SIPS. 3 weeks post op, down 20lbs. Still on pureed diet. I have a longer common channel, but poo is still WAY stinky and loose. Has anyone managed to have solid poos again?
  11. It won't help it in any way. So if it was a problem before, it will most likely remain. I never had GERD before my sleeve. Had minor GERD after it, just had SIPS 12/16/16 and it did not improve any.
  12. I am a former sleeve, just had the SIPS and gallbladder removed 12/16. I'm down 20lbs, but I have major cramping poos every am, massively stinky btw, and I fear I shall never have a solid poo again lol. Other than the morning toilet evacuation cramp fest, I'm doing ok. Still get nausea if I eat too fast or take too big a bite.
  13. Well, awesome news! I'm approved and scheduled for SIPS and gallbladder eviction December 16. Already have sleeve.
  14. Hi everyone. I have a sleeve, considering the SIPS and have a consult appt next week. How is everyone doing with theirs?
  15. Thanks everyone for the replies. I have read up on the Naltrexone as well. I plan to speak with my doctor about the best choice for me. I will also check into local support groups. Anyone esle with any experience, chime in! This is great.
  16. Another vote for Dr Curry.
  17. I was banded in Mexico. Dr Curry in Cincinnati does my fills. He has several mexico banded patients. Should be a 2 hr drive for you. 513-559-1222. Good luck. His staff are awesome, most of them have been banded themselves.
