  1. How funny! Today I graduated to full liquids and tomato soup was my first "treat" from clear liquids. It must be one of those ultimate comfort foods, like grilled cheese with tomato soup that I had as a kid, that caused the craving.
  2. Today was the first time that we sat and started to watch a movie as a family. My hubby made popcorn for the kiddos and himself and it smelled AMAZING! So, I went to Michael's and bought myself 2 adult coloring books and some colored pencils. It was 102 degrees. ....too hot to walk for an extended period of time. But, coloring made me happy. It kept my hands busy and I'll have something pretty to look at once it's finished! Screw that popcorn!
  3. August 31st sleever too! Everyday has been better and easier to get in fluids, but I can't drink water! Lol! I was a HUGE water drinker before surgery and now it's kind of "slimy".....weird, right!?! I have been enjoying Vitamin Water Zeroes along with my premier protein and broth. I just had creamy tomato soup and it was one of the best things I have ever had! I have felt really good throughout the last week and I'm so grateful for it! Glad to find you guys! ????
  4. Tdhaddox! I had to be there at 6:30am. Everything went so fast, I have no idea what time I actually went into surgery. Lol!
  5. I'm a licensed massage therapist, so my job is pretty physical. When Nicholson and I discussed my job, he did say that I would need the longer side of recovery because of internal sutures. I decided to take 5 weeks off just to be sure that I would be the best I could be for my clients. If I had a desk job or could work from home, I totally believe that I could do it after a week.
  6. I was also sleeved on 8/31 by Nicholson. And yes, my surgery was 6 weeks after my EGD. My hernia was worse than expected at surgery, but my recovery has been amazing! I was up and out of the house 3 days post op and again today. Obviously, I have soreness, but nothing debilitating at all! He's an amazing surgeon! You're going to be in great hands!
  7. I had to have an EGD done and that was on 6/24 to verify my hernia. They called the following week with my surgery date. It's kind of unbelievable that I have to be there in 8 hours!
  8. No, I live in the Dallas area. From initial attendance of a seminar to now has been about 3 months. 3 very fast months!
  9. I'm having my sleeve done tomorrow too! Good luck!
  10. Nicholson is performing my sleeve in the morning! Having the hiatal hernia repair as well. Everything has been very smooth.
