Sleeve vs Bypass long term weight loss results
Medical staff I've talked to make it sound like the sleeve and bypass aren't very different from eachother. I do have to have it due to years and years of acid reflux and was told the sleeve would make it worse

Sleeve vs Bypass long term weight loss results
Just found out I'm having the bypass instead of the sleeve and wanted to know feedback from people. Is it that much more risky than the sleeve? Anyone have had band to bypass and want to share?

I want my husband to do it with me but he doesn't want to give up beer and food.... which you have to sever your relationship with food. Do you guys have a YouTube???My wife was determined to get the surgery but i wasnt on board for me until my back went out again and went to back surgeon who said if i didnt get weight off surgery would be pointless on my back as would happen again. So that made up my mind. My wife chose gastric bypass, i went with gastric sleeve so if i wanted in moderation to have a beer or some fries etc i could and not get dumping syndrome.. So your husband "could" in theory enjoy some of his favorite items down the road as treats in moderation, but my relationship with food has changed for sure. I eat much healthier choices now, but also not afraid to have some treats. Like every diet in the world, its all about calorie intake and how much you burn. So if i have a treat or drink, i still try and stay under my daily calorie total. Even if you read my horror story and what i went thru post op, im an advocate to others to get the wls surgery and improve their health. Was still worth it for me. Good luckWhere do I read your story?

No just waiting for the sleeve to be done. Had my band out august 21st and have to wait 3 months to get the sleeve. I'm sure I'm still gaining.

Before and After Pics
How long after surgery did you hit your goal weight? Did you work out lot? I hit my first goal around 10 months post op and then felt like I could keep going pretty easily, so I lost another 15 or so pounds after that. I started running around 4 months post op (wish I would have started sooner) and I continued to be an avid runner throughout the process. I am not much of an exerciser that's why I was asking. Maybe when I take off some weight I will actually want to. I had my lap band removed and will have the sleeve done in a couple months but I'm 300 as of now...
