Letty's journey post-op
I love Saturdays, my husband and I usually go grocery shopping early in the morning on Saturdays and it has become a habit to buy a rotisserie chicken to eat it when we're back from the store. Well let me tell you it was delicious, I make a guacamole salsa and get 3 oz of the chicken breast and eat it with the salsa. The leftovers are my lunch during the week. ???????? I'm now here drinking a Protein shake for dinner and if I get hungry later on I will have some cucumbers and jicama with lime.

Opinion on pecans- nuts
@bledgirl this is how I feel about them being in the house. I'm afraid I will start eating more than just a portion, but the key is to weigh it and do not go for seconds. ????

Thanks everyone for your input, @@Babbs I was cleared at my 2 months post-op. My post-op was broken down in 4 phases and last phase ended at 2 months. My husband loves nuts and always buys like 2 lbs of the mixed nuts with no salt and I'm afraid to over eat them so I been trying not to consume them yet, however, I do eat them once in a while. I need to work on chewing my food more that has been my biggest challenge, although I measure everything I eat. I eat between 750 to 850 calories daily with 90 to 100 grams of Protein. @@Bufflehead what is the portion in grams that you eat? My doctors office gave me a book and it says: for fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium, aim for less thank 5% of daily value. Not sure how much will that be.

I was just wondering what is everyone's opinion on nuts in general. I'm not sure if I should be eating them frequently since they have lots of fat even though is good fat????

My hair loss has been very bad starting at my 3 months post-op, I was hoping for minimum hair loss since I been eating 90 to 100 grams of protein daily, taking all my vitamins and biotin. Although, I saw some other comments that biotin doesn't help for hair loss it will be more for re-growth. Well I guess is part of the process????

I been YoYo dieting for so many years. Back in 2009 I was 270lbs. Our company have a family party every year in October. I remember taking that picture and hiding it cause I felt so ashamed at how big I was. I remember I signed up at the gym ymca and went straight for one year. I lost 80 lbs and unfortunately letting my self get back to 253 lbs. This year when we went to the party another picture was taken and I got my old picture out. I now have it here at my desk at work to remind myself I don't EVER want to be at that weight again. This time I don't see this journey as a diet is all about changing my eating habits and remind myself everyday to see food as fuel.- Letty's journey post-op
Lorri716 you are doing awesome!! Did you had any complications? I was one of the very lucky ones!! Only normal gas pain at the beginning, no nauseas, I could eat all lean meats with no complications.- Letty's journey post-op
