  2. Glad things went well! I'm still very sore, and having a hard time getting all my water down. Lots of pain on left side stomach and back. Hopefully it gets better soon.
  3. @sooonergirl619 - so awesome to here! I am still in the hospital, too... Doing good here, as well I'm about 17 hours out and I have also decided to stay another night. How much/often are you walking.? My nurses here do not encourage me to walk, so I need to request it or just do myself. Also, I'm always nauseous after walking... When does that go away? They have me walking every 2 hours and at night every 4. I feel nauseous after too. I have a patch for that. Really sore on my left side too.
  4. Surgery went well. Just really sore and a little nauseated. Staying one more night. They took me off iv and trying to get all my fluids down and walk. Hope everyone else's surgeries went well. Love you guys and this support group we have!

  15. So I'm starting to get nervous and anxious for my surgery. It's two weeks from tomorrow. I'm excited but scared at the same time for this new chapter in my life. Anyone else feeling the same way?
  16. @@60&goin4it yes I am. Both my husband and I are. We are actually going to a game in Norman 3 weeks after my surgery.
  17. My surgery is Oct 7 and pre op Oct 1. So excited!
  18. @@toasty thank you very much. He has very reserved feelings about doctors in general. I think once I have it be should be better. I will be very careful in what I choose to eat. Didn't come this far to screw it up. Just trying to plan. I will probably be packing my food for the trip but might have to do at least one restaurant trip. Thanks again for the advice.
  19. @@red37 I would have to order something. Hubby already thinks that I won't be any fun after surgery cuz I won't be able to eat whatever. I might try like baked fish or something and mash it up maybe at the restaurant and just do water at the game. Thank you
  20. My husband and I are supposed to be going out of town to a college football game 3 weeks after my surgery. According to the time line I should be on pureed foods by then. What can I eat that's not starchy but a pureed consistency?
  21. My turn around was a little over a week. I found out mid Aug and was able to schedule two weeks later but had to wait till October because of work timing. Good luck to your friend!
  22. @@paminct thats great! We can really share our journey now!
  23. Congrats to both of you! My surgery date is Oct 7th.
