I still have one more diet documentation to go. Then it goes to insurance. So hopefully surgery will be in about two months or so. The procedure my dr does turns out is the SIPS after all. But not sure I want to do a new technique. Ya know. Maybe do the RNY since it has a better track record.
I am about two months out from surgery. One more diet documentation to go then I'll see what the insurance says. Anyway I suffer from bipolar disorder and was wondering what or how they will do my psych meds in the first few days after surgery when I can't swallow much.
I have one more appointment with the nut at the end of the month. Then it all goes to insurance. I'm nervous about them denying the surgery and yet also getting nervous about being so close to the possible surgery. My hw is 375. I weigh in tomorrow. Haven't lost much in the past three months. I so need the surgery but am a bit anxious. Is this normal when the date gets closer and the surgery seems more real.
From what I can tell the sips is a variation of the Duadenal switch which seems to maybe have less complications?? My surgeon wants me to have the DS. Don't know if he's certified for the sips. Not sure I want the DS due to the rate of postoperative complications. Idk.
One more month of diet documentation. Then to the insurance company. Maybe surgery by end of September?? It's getting close now that it's August. Starting to get a little nervous, but I really need to do this.
