Does anyone else think this is a bit much? I started a 900 calorie diet monday and have already lost 14lbs. My surgery keeps being moved due to having sinus and ear infections. I'm just waiting for the call for a date. I figure I'd start a pre op pre op diet. If that makes sense. I've seen ppl on my 600 pound life start a 900 calories a day diet before being approved. .I'm kind of scared to gain weight before they call me for a date. I Track all my food and water intake on my fitness pal. Has anyone else done this ?

My surgery is on hold until the lung specialist approves. I guess I'm not using the cpap enough. ???? this makes me so upset n sad

Thanks everyone! I will explain everything at my next appointment. I will look into a new pillow and mask asap. I really scared they won't allow me to.have surgery next month because of this.

Hello I was wondering if anyone is having trouble sleeping with their cpap machine? I'm supposed to be sleeping at least 4 hrs with it on but I wake up with the mask off.. or fall asleep before putting the mask on. When I do have it on I wake up in the night to use the bathroom. Or because the mask is making my nose itchy..or my daughter wakes up. Sigh. The lung specialist needs to see my last month's log so he can give the ok n I'll have my date. I have a feeling that won't be happening now. I feel very disappointed.

Did anyone have to lose weight before surgery ? I had to see a nut. But never was told to lose weight. I had lost 19lbs but I have a feeling I gained some back during the holidays.

I was told the same. My weight in September was 433. The surgeon told me that with the sleeve I'd only lose so much weight and if I wanted later I could get the rny to lose more. If u go on Instagram you will see ppl who were u their 400's and have lost tons of weight. I wouldn't want to go through another surgery either :/ I'll be having mine some within the next 4-6 weeks.

I got a call Tuesday..they had a couple questions for me and I was told I would be having my surgery within the next 4-6 weeks. They'll call me for the actual date a week in advance. I cried my eyes out lol I'm so ready to start this new chapter and say goodbye to the fat me

Wow you're all doing so awesome! I can't wait to be one of the ones to share progress.. I started cutting out the bad stuff.. waiting for the nutritionist to call me for an appointment

@@BLERDgirl Thank you for your reply! I didn't think mine was high..but it's 67 I was able to lose weight before under my Dr's supervision. I know this tool will help me get to where I want to be. Congrats to you for all your accomplishments so far @innersurfergirl I am sure you are considered a success. When did you have the surgery Congrats to u also

Hello All! I was wondering if there's anyone out there who had high BMI and had great success with the sleeve? I am 433 pounds and will be having the sleeve. My surgeon suggests having the sleeve and later down the road if I wanted I could get the bypass. Anyone?

I just talked to my surgeon and he recommended sleeve.. that was my original choice. .than changed my mind to bypass because I deal with reflux. But he suggested sleeve and at a later time if I wanted I could do the whole rny gastric bypass. So this is what I'm going to do

I was awake when they did it.. I was nervous but it wasn't that bad.. just gagged and burped alot during lol

What are all the blood tests for? I was scheduled to do tests n meet the surgeon today n tomorrow but it got postponed until September. :/

Hello, i joined a couple weeks ago..just been reading topics and threads. i have my first appointment with my surgeon and hes team on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. I am so ready for this! weight was always problem for me since i was a kid. i'm going to talk to him about the sleeve as well. my sister had it done last year and has lost 100lbs with little complications! If all goes well i should be getting the surgery in December too
