  3. My week three stall started at 3 and a half weeks and lasted about a week and a half. When I finally did lose, I dropped three pounds overnight. Stay on you food plan. The weight loss will come. Monitor your measurements. You will pleasantly surprised to see how many inches you are losing even if it doesn't show on the scale.

  10. No regrets! Don't listen to them! It's your life and your health. Do what is best for you and shut out the negativity!
  11. Each doctor is different with their prep orders. Mine only required 1 or 2 bottles of magnesium citrate spread out over several hours. I also had to take several Dulcolax. Whereas my mother had to drink almost a gallon of whatever as her prep. The magnesium citrate bottles aren't very big.

  13. I started out at the same BMI (maybe 37). I had my RNY August 11 (a little over 3 weeks ago) and have lost 30 pounds as of this morning. Of course, the first 10 were due to the preop diet. My doctor told me since I wasn't as heavy as most who have the surgery, I wouldn't have a 30 pound weight loss month, but it looks like I'm going to be close. If I had to guess, I'd say you would probably lose 40-45 pounds by December if you do everything correctly and exercise. Good luck and congrats on your wedding!

  16. I have craved pickles like crazy! Had RNY on 8/11 and have wanted a pickle ever since!
  17. Every surgeon seems to have different rules. Mine was Clear liquids (broth and 1 to 1.5 Protein shakes a day) for 1 week. For my second - third week, I could have eggs, cheese and tuna (with a little mayo and relish). I go Wednesday for a follow-up and expect to be given the all clear for high protein/low carb diet.
  18. I only took off work for two weeks. I think it just depends on the person. Six weeks will be plenty.
