Two days post op!
I had my surgery on the 28th. Apparently, I had a hiatal hernia and they repaired it too while they were doing the sleeve. Yesterday, I felt very nauseous so they did not discharge me yet. I am relieved though because it beats being home alone and nauseous. Trying to get all my liquids down today so I can leave this afternoon. So far it has not been that bad for me. The IV drips make you urinate a lot. But that's fine because every time I get up, I use it as an excuse to walk around. Walking makes you feel way better. Just taking one day at a time. That's all we can do.

Sleeve tomorrow. Any words of confidence from those who have done it.
Hi everyone! My surgery is at 10:15 AM in New Jersey tomorrow morning. I am beyond excited but I'm also pretty nervous and scared. Are there any words of confidence that you all want to share? It would be very greatly appreciated. ☺️

I have been asked whether I am pregnant at least 20 times!
I like that idea. I'll rub their belly back. Hopefully I'll lose enough weight so that I will never be asked that question unless I'm really pregnant.

My story is new gossip:(
I also struggled between keeping this a secret and telling people. I chose to tell a few of the closest people before I had the surgery. Once I have the surgery I plan to tell people I had weight-loss surgery. I'm not going to get into details as to what kind of surgery it was unless it's someone whom I believe wants to know because they have an interest in doing it for themselves. I don't want to be worrying about someone spilling the beans and the secret getting out. I am trying to not care what other people think. That's really hard to do because I spent most of my life wanting to please others andcaring about their opinions. Well no more!!! And it's very liberating. You do whatever you feel like doing.

I have been asked whether I am pregnant at least 20 times!
Hello everyone. I'm writing this to get something off my chest. I am going to have my gastric sleeve surgery done in two days in New Jersey. I chose this topic because it is one that I have had the displeasure of dealing with for the past few years. I gain weight around my belly and I must seem to look pregnant to people. It may seem trivial but I really really really look forward to the day where I no longer look pregnant and people stop asking me whether I'm pregnant. They have asked me at work, at stores, at funerals, at nightclubs! Even children have asked me why I'm so fat and whether I'm having a baby. It is so overbearing at times❗️❗️❗️two people have rubbed my stomach and congratulated me. It is so frustrating! Thank you all for listening and feel free to comment.

SURGERY TOMORROW!
My name is "Hamade Lexi" I will be sending a request. My sleeve is set for July 28. Two days away. Actually I'm wondering whether it will be announced that I join this group in my newsfeed because if that's the case I'd rather keep this under anonymity.

Any sleevers scheduled for late July?
3 days to go for me and I am nervous, scared but, above all, excited to start my NEW life. The nurse in my pre-op class said that a lot of people consider their surgery date another birthday. After all, it is the beginning of our new lives. Why not celebrate this date and our original birthdays? I think it's brilliant!

Type 2 diabetes
This is my driving factor too. My diabetes is totally reversible at this point. I take Metformin 1000mg twice a day and I can't wait till the day that it goes away completely!
