  1. I've experienced a lot of the gas pains to, but today has been an eventful day , lol...enough said right ???? my main problem is a severe headache. I got all my fluid in so I know I'm not getting dehydrated. Hopefully tomorrow will prove to be better. Have tried to watch a couple movies .....lol.....but all I see is the credits at the end for falling asleep. Good night everyone and may peaceful hearts and health be with us all.????????????
  2. I met a very nice woman in the waiting room while waiting for my appointment by the name of Sharon. She was there for her one week post option and looked wonderful for just having surgery. I mentioned this website to her and some additional info to look for as well. I hope you make it here Sharon , it would be nice to make this journey together. Especially having the same Doctor . I did meet Leiza the night nurse she was fantastic like you mentioned all the nurses and staff were. I did have room 421 and it was so comfortable. Never any problems. Hope we can possibly meet at one of the group meetings. Cindy
  3. Well, I made it. Actually it wasn't a bad experience at all for me this far. My surgery was approx 2hrs, had some scar tissue from previous surgeries which needed to be removed. But all went as planned. Was released the following day by 12:30 and now home freshly showered, had my breakfast and wrote in my journal. I'm boiling some ribs for my husband's dinner and looking forward to using the strained broth for mine. I'm just going to take it slow day by day.
  4. Hi..I'm new here and so glad to have found this site. My date for surgery is this Fri the 24th. I meet with my surgeon again tomorrow for my pre op appt. My Dr. has not put me on a pre op diet, just 2 days prior to cut out caffeine and most carbs. I will most likely stick to protein drinks. For the last 6 months I have done nothing but wish my appt would hurry and get here , I must admit I'm a little nervous now , but eager to get going on my journey. I wish you all the best of luck and will be back after surgery. ???? Heres some ???? for all you who are in recovery. Cyn
