  1. Love to hear you're doing so well! Wow, I hope I do that good once I get surgery. Did you find your tastes have changed? Sounds like 2 oz is working for you so continue in my friend!
  2. Welcome Emily! How are you doing after surgery? Any wisdom to share?
  3. I'm just starting this whole process so I'm going to the surgeons office on the 25th to meet with everybody. Then it's on like Donkey Kong with the diet and not smoking! So wish me luck! Good luck Natalie. I know you will be excited to get a date.
  4. Yes, insurance requires a 6 month medically supervised weight loss program. Yes I would prefer the sleeve but will find out what surgeon recommends on the 25th when I go.
  5. You look awesome! I'm ready to do this but just starting so 6 months to go.

  11. I have been cutting back and know that on the 25th will be my "quit" day as that is the day that I will be meeting with the surgeon, NUT, pysch, etc. I will be starting my required 6 month medically supervised weight loss before I can get the surgery.
  12. I have 6 months to go so I don't have fears just anxiety of the waiting. And concerned about hair loss as I have thin fine hair as it is. Plus I know it's crazy, but I don't know how to be thin, I've always been heavy. Crazy process! LOL
  13. Good luck to both of you and keep us posted!

  18. Congrats Laura! i know you have to be excited. im just beginng my required 6 month supervised weight loss. I go meet with the surgeons office on the 25th of this month. I hope by the end of Feb or first of March I will be getting my surgery done. I was so disappointed that my doctor didn't have enough documentation to meet the requirements for my insurance so I'm starting at the beginning with the surgeons office so I can have all the requirements done and can get on with it! Please keep us posted as to how you are doing with the liquid diet. I'm trying to get all the ins and outs so I will know what to expect down the road.
  19. I just sent FB request and you accepted. Please add me to secret group! Thank you. Thank you!
  20. I tried to find you on FB and can't.....what should I look for?
  21. I can't get the link to work.
  22. Thanks for the response. I hear a lot of changes happen after surgery and wonder if it will be even necessary.
  23. I have a question for all of you regarding horomone replacement. Did you stop taking it after surgery? I was put on it last November and it has cause spotting every month and that was the one good thing about being menopausal! I don't like it and think I'm going to stop it and wondered if all the hormone changes with surgery makes a difference?
  24. Laura4923, congrats! Definately a step in the right direction!
