Milk: the Reason I Look Like a Heifer?
Being a cheese head myself I understand the dilemma! Growing up on 5-6 glasses a day, I became diabetic in my late 30's and even though I have always drank skim had to give it up. I was crushed. After surgery in Sept by NUT said I need to have at least 1 glass a day plus my calcium Vitamins. Needless to say I was very excited to start drinking it daily again. Like everything else we now all do moderation is key! Hope you can find a different way to get your pain under control. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal

You know you lost weight when
I squatted down with my 3 year old granddaughter to look at something on the ground and realized that a couple minutes later I was still there....I didn't fall over and my feet didn't fall asleep!

Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
Exactly! I am so happy for my decision it was the first thing I did for myself in 25 years. I don't want to justify myself to anyone.

Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
I am 3 weeks post op and ready to go back to work on Monday called my boss to let her know( by the way she is an RN) and she asked me how many calories I was eating a day and told her between 600-700. And her answer to that was "that is not enough calories to sustain good health". Really, as a nurse you think she would know better on what happens when you remove three quarters of your stomach and it only holds 4 ounces.

Sept date I am all set
So today is the day! I can't believe it's finally here, it has been a long process to get here,7 months. I didn't think I would sleep at all but I slept all night. I am so ready for this but still a little nervous about the effects after surgery. I am very good with pain but not with nausea, I hope I am one of the lucky ones!

You know you lost weight when
When your doctor emails you saying your cholesterol results are phenomenal and cuts your medication in half. She will recheck in 3 months and hopefully off for good!!

Pindoctor. I am so sorry you are having such a hard time getting your approval. Have you tried calling them yourself to see what the holdup is? Sometimes it is something as easy as paperwork from the doctor diagnosis codes etc. It may be something all you have to do is call your doctor to have correct. Keep your spirits up. Keep your spirits up and keep us posted on how it turns out.
