I am 52 days post op and generally have not been weighing myself daily, but started weighing myself every couple of days. I am up two pounds. I have been exercising in the pool daily for up to an hour, have been meeting my Protein requirements and fluids. This is so frustrating!
I am 5 weeks post op and am finding myself in a similar boat. I just don't really like anything anymore. I almost gagged with tuna, and enjoyed it before. I mix unflavored protein powder with my yogurt, retried beans, pudding, etc to get my protein in.
Post op I took a 2 ounce measuring cup and took a sip. Noting that I was able to sip a half an ounce and that I wanted to drink 4 ounces in an hour, I used a timer on my phone to remind me when to take a sip. This was on day 3 after surgery. It was an easy way to remind me to take that drink. I kept the water cool in a tervis waterbottle and used one of my kids little cups to sip out of. Slowly I was able to drink more and more even in between the timer.
17 days out from surgery and finally starting to get my energy back! On puréed foods and did 20 minutes of exercise in the pool today! Feeling better each day!
I know what you mean. One of my friends said, well, if that's what you want to do I will support you. Very nonchalant. Stick with people that are happy for you bettering your health!!
I had my surgery on 7/7/15 and seem to be doing fine at home. Still on liquids with no issues. Had a tough time with nausea and vomiting in the hospital. Today I am feeling depressed and wondering why I have done this to myself. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.
