  1. I did 1 full day of the liquid diet, the only thing I felt(feel) was extremely tired. Like I have taken naps today and yesterday something I usually do just on Sunday's. I never got a headache. Did they say at the hospital that it was something you were lacking? Or was it the type of protein drinks you used?
  2. Well my 2 week liquid pre-op has been aborted..dr called and changed my surgery to Jan 11th. The good thing is, it's a better surgery time..12 instead of 3 and I can go to Christmas dinners without carrying all of my food with me.
  3. Anyone else experience lack of energy on the pre-op liquid diet? This is day 2 and I am so tired. I've been taking a multi vitamin since we are lacking nutrients. But my goodness I thought I had low energy before.
  4. Just ask your doctor if you can have Almond milk post surgery. That was on my "can't have" list post sleeve. ????
  5. . All great uses with Unjury the liquid temp can't be hotter than 140* or the texture changes and it doesn't mix well. So I was really excited that the temp was just right
  6. Surprised they only gave you BA as an option. Have you purchased all of the drink mix for the 2 weeks? Call and tell them it's hard for you to tolerate. My doctor gave us BA and
  7. So my doctor gave me some recipes: vanilla Protein powder with decaf=vanilla Latte..well not really but a girl can dream. So in making my "Fa Latte" this morning I brewed my coffee in my Keurig, after temping the coffee it was a precise 140*. So now I can "brew" Water in my Keurig to make the chicken Soup. That sure beats starting the microwave, stopping, temping and restarting to get the right temp. If anyone has a Keurig this will make life a little easier.. ????
  8. I have to drink 4 protein drinks a day, 2 with milk and 2 with another liquid. (Decaf coffee, water, crystal light, ex) then I can have 6 other foods..s/f jello, pudding, light yogurt, oatmeal, fresh veggies and apple sauce daily.
  9. I'm also starting my 2 week diet tomorrow. I'm excited to get started.
  10. I can't have anything to drink after midnight the night before and my surgery is at 3 pm
  11. I'm wondering about the Gasx..did you who took some have to hide it? Most hospitals will not let you bring outside remedies in. My dad couldn't use cough drops or his Vicks inhaler and another wouldn't let my father Inlaw take Tylenol that my mother Inlaw had. Just curious
  12. We can be two week partners!! I'm also scheduled for Jan 4th How are you doing this last weekend Of "freedom" lol. My husband is taking me to a restaurant tonight that I've been dying to go to for years. (Finally) My 2 week plan includes light yogurt, sugar free Jello and sugar free pudding so I've stocked up for this. Good luck
  13. My doctor gave me two choices, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury or Bariatric Advantage for my 2 week pre-op. I ordered the sample pack from Unjury, it comes with 2 servings of each flavor, a thermometer and a mixing bottle. Good luck
  14. I have the Mirena IUD, good for 5 years and you can remove it at anytime you want to have a baby. I don't have to think about it. No hormonal side affects, no messy creams and I am really happy with it.
  15. So glad you made this post. My surgery is also scheduled for 3pm. Now I have somewhat of a timeline to go by. Hoping you're getting some rest.
  16. My bmi was never 40 or above during my 7 month managed diet. My highest bmi was 39.4. My insurance approved me quickly because of my lengthy list of conditions.
  17. My Nut said to wait about 6 months before I try the Premiere Protein drinks again.
  18. Make sure you have all of your food for the first 2 weeks & supplements.
  19. I asked for an ice cream maker for Christmas. I found a recipe for frozen yogurt.. 6 oz yogurt 1-2 scoops of Protein drink mix Has anyone ever made it?
  20. My Nut and I discussed what a realistic goal weight would be. Try making small goals along the way..once you reach that one, move onto the next
  21. Hi there! My surgery is the 4th so we are about on the same schedule. I just got all of my 2 week pre-op food today so it's starting to sink in. Here we go
  22. Thats awesome!! I had a cariologost tell me I had a blockage (without testing me) he even drew on a diagram where the blockage was. Had me terrified. My mom cancelled her vacation because he said once the test showed where the blockage was, we were doing surgery stat. I had a 3 hrs test done on every artery surrounding my heart and there was no blockage. He came in and said, "the test was clear, there's no blockage, you're free to go". I've never been so mad at medical professional before or since. With all of that I was relived that my heart was healthy But man I could've strangled him.
  23. My choice was simple...I didn't want the non used part of my stomach still in my body so I chose the sleeve. My doctor reccomened it obviously for more scientific and medical reasons lol
  24. How are things going? Thank you for asking. I haven't been on the site since last Tuesday. My update is that I went for the exercise stress test last Tuesday which was the day before surgery and that afternoon my PCP said he wouldn't clear me because it came back abnormal again. I did a lot of crying and I was down that night. The Bariatric center called me to reschedule surgery for Dec 21st (next Monday), until I received clearance from the Cardiologist. I saw the cardiologist on Thursday and he said that he believes it's a "false-positive." He said that at times it could be the breast affecting the test, which I thought it was a very odd thing but that's what he said. He said he wants to be 100% sure it's a "false-positive" before he clears me, so on Thursday morning they're doing an echo stress test. He said that test will indicate if something is actually wrong or it's nothing. He thinks it's nothing but he doesn't feel comfortable clearing me until he's sure which I understand. Once/if the cardiologist clears me on Thursday then the PCP will clear me as everything else came back normal. I'm scheduled for next Monday, and at this point in the process I feel numb and I don't want to get my hopes up for another disappointment. I'm going on Thursday for that test and that same afternoon I should hear from the doctor what it is... fingers crossed. You'll be in my thoughts! I've been where you are and the thoughts of something being wrong is definitely hard to handle at times.
