  1. My nut/surgeon said stage 1-2 for baby food. I personally never used it. I puréed the meals I made for my family. Did your surgeon/nut give you post op meal ideas or instructions? It amazes me how many do not. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Centrum vitamints are pretty good, with Calcium chews and mini high potency Iron. All available at any local pharmacy. You can find online coupons for the vitamints. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. What should you be doing? Relax and follow your surgeons plan. We all want the weight to come off fast and for some it does. You're recovering from major surgery where you were pumped full of fluids. Some even leave the hospital with a gain from all of that. Everyone's journey is different. I'd suggest staying off of the scale at least till your follow up with your surgeon. Relax and rest so you can heal Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. pudding & oatmeal mostly. I didn't notice the taste as much as the texture. Something with more liquid probably wouldn't be so bad. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. That's the problem, unflavored doesn't mean it's tasteless. I haven't tried anything but unjury and it doesn't taste bad. They have a sample pack you can order before buying the big container. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. "Starving" this soon out of surgery is unlikely. Most of what people feel is head hunger or acid. Did your surgeon give you a PPI to take? Best way to test to see if it's true hunger is to drink some Protein. If the feeling doesn't go away then it was head hunger or acid. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I was on full liquids for the first two weeks. Low calorie Yogurt Sf pudding Sf Jello Sf Popsicles Powerade zero G2 Creamed Soups (strained) Protein shakes Low fat milk Water broth (chicken, beef, vegetable) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Being able to shave the backside of my leg. Having my husband ask if the article of clothing is mine or my daughters. Not having to eat before going to a function for the fear of being looked at for eating too much. Being able to participate in activities instead of just watching Having a lap I could go on Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. No, You may see a Water weight gain throughout your journey but In order for you to gain weight from fat you will have to eat extremely off your plan and way over your calorie intake. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Still take sips.. Some won't feel the restriction till you're on the purée phase and others don't feel it till they're on the soft food stage. But drinking too much liquid can cause pain and discomfort. I never even wondered about the bougie size..
  11. "The world according to eggface" has tons of recipes and everything that I've tried from her has been amazing. I don't care for the ricotta bake now at 7 months out but when I had it during my purée phase it was to die for. Your taste buds change so much over time. Try things that you never liked before and it may surprise you. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods.html?m=1 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. I had a hiatal hernia repair at the time of my sleeve. My surgeon said it was a possibility of the Gerd returning and a future conversion would cure it. He still recommended the sleeve. 7 months out and no signs of it so far. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. How far are you out from surgery? Are you at goal? Below goal? More to go? I've been told no plastics till at least 18 months PO. I'm tempted to believe me..but to go through surgery now with more to lose wouldn't be a wise choice. If you're at goal and are maintaining for a period of time..go for it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. My pre-op diet was at least 100 grams of Protein per day. Did you start taking your multi Vitamins yet? With just consuming Protein shakes you may want to start them pre-op. You could be low on potassium. My doctor suggested it for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. @ Bp meds could be a possibility. Do you check your pressure at home? If you don't, you might want to invest in a cuff. I took my cuff into my doctors to see how it matched up with theirs. I was on 5 Bp meds down to 1. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Are you taking vitamins? Did your dr check your levels? I know being low on iron will cause fatigue. My levels were really low and I felt better after taking an iron supplement. I never felt sick to the point of throwing up but had cycles of being dizzy. I hope you feel better soon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I'm not a big fan of beef Jerky but heaven sent down bacon jerky.. I don't have it often but oh dear My biggest go to snack is cheese sticks. I tend to go with the sharp cheddar or pepper jack. The sargento snack bites are amazing Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. @@8petals You can buy unjury from their website. I'd suggest starting with the starter kit. Then buy the flavor(s) you like in bigger quantity. They also sell it on amazon. Some hospitals that perform bariatric surgeries have it in their pharmacies too. http://www.unjury.com/?tag=GoogleBrand&gclid=CKjX4KHg3M4CFckkhgod2XkFpQ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
