  1. Honeybunz, EXACTLY im not scared about them cutting me but I am extremely scared of the IV cause I had surgery before on something else and the one thing I remember from it was not my ( anesthesia vomiting, or pain in my anywhere...) it was the sharp pain and sound of the dang IV. Going into my veins. So I kind of want to see my options here hahahaha
  2. Just wondering if anyone got their sleeve from meeting the doctor to surgery? With the insurance and pre op requirements?
  3. Hahahs thanks everyone. I will try to see if they can numb it or knock me out before putting it in... If not I'll suck it up... Gulp.
  4. Apologies if this was already mentioned - If so can someone post the link? I'm getting ready for pre op and post op stuff. Wondering what protein drinks are tolerable or not disgusting for me to have. Any preference??
  5. Hahah thanks all. Is it the Same as if they are drawing blood kind of prick? Like I won't feel it again after? I just hate that's urial going through my vein feeling. But It seems like it's a prick and all done. I'm going to breathe hard look away and that's it. Eeek!!
  6. Hi all I know this is dumb but I'm terrified of the IV needle... More so than the actual surgery. I'm more terrified about them putting the IV needle in especially if they put it on the back of your hand area versus the inner elbow(?) can you let me know if this doesn't hurt and or the least of my worries? I get squirmish just thinking about it
  7. thats really odd your sister did the surgery but mixed feelings?

  11. Hi everyone! Need a buddy/mentor/guidance/ anyone! No one but my bf (probably soon to be ex for being SO unsupportive) and one friend. So would really need some guidance over here. Going for all my checkups this week and then going to see if I can get the surgery in August.
  12. Hey there NYC here
  13. Thanks Babbas and Alindsey!! This helps a lot. I didn't know people go to Mexico alone. I'm doing it in town! Thanks a lot- i know it's going to be ok. After that it's going to be worth it.
  14. Hi Lisa! Do this for yourself! I know I am. I have a bf who isnt supportive/not there for me on this and I know he won't be a part of it so it's already proving to be a problem before the surgery I can't imagine after. We will see. But do this for yourself, as am I!!
  15. Hi yeah I am just going to uber/get a car.
  16. Hi everyone, new to this forum. You can call me wagyu (as in i love wagyu beef!) anyways I started my journey will get sleeved sometime next month. Going through all my pre requisites like endoscopy/pulmonary etc... and I am doing it by myself. No one knows and I am so terrified. Well maybe one or two friends know. But no one is going to the doctors appts with me or the surgery, so I am very terrified. Don't know what to do, and feel like I am alone and want to back up because this is such a big thing. I don't know. But! I will go through with it! Would like some support if anyone is going through the same thing, or if not, do you have advice? Thanks a lot!
