  1. @@FrankinTexas that's also my date. Yay us!!!
  2. July 27th here.
  3. @@tianna615, I think for a while we'll be getting protein from the food we eat but also a lot will come from supplements since we won't be able to eat that much. The combined 2 should help us reach or daily protein goals.
  4. Maybe I'll go shopping tomorrow for more stuff. I really wanna try the isopure I've heard mixed reviews. I think I've been just procrastinating but I better get it together. Thanks for subliminally kicking my butt into gear. My nutritionist visit is on the 13th then my pre op test are on the 14th, then I have an appointment with the pharmacist on the 15th. All this is happening in Illinois that's where I started the process and will be having my surgery but I just moved to Las Vegas 2 weeks ago.
  5. Yea, trying not to panic LOL. BUT no I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself. Overall I think I'm ready. Everything is going through my mind, what to pack, what type of protein should I get,do I need any little weight loss gadgets like portion control plates scales ( have a scale already ) etc.
  6. @@tianna615 congratulations that's also my date for gastric bypass surgery. 3 weeks to go you ready?
  7. Hello, @@tonwinton I'm July 27th, gastric bypass. Which group did you join there are a few circulating. Cool beginnings, Our July Journey and I believe there's a Google one also. Have you started your liquid diet yet?
  8. I keep reading how difficult the liquid diet can be. But, it's doable. This is just one step closer to where you wanna be. Keep pushing through and good luck again.
  9. Congratulations to your husband 140lbs wow. How great it must be to share this journey with your spouse, good luck with your liquid diet and upcoming surgery.
  10. Thank you, and I will p.m you when it's time. My husband will be with me during and after surgery he took leave so he can stay home with me, and I will have lots of help as my children are 11,16,18, 23 & 24 I'm of course gonna milk this to the end LOL . How about you, do you also have a wonderful support system ready? Although my support system is small (I only told a few people about my wls) they are great. I'll be sending up prayer for you on your surgery day. Oh happy belated birthday!!!!
  11. @@lorilove,congratulations. So happy for you.
  12. @ pinkpeonies Wow, thanks for that information and good luck you have a great attitude about this and I love that. I'm excited but I feel little like @@Gumpgal was explaining. Also, for me it's exciting & scary at the same time a fear of the unknown, I believe is my problem. Reading so much information on what good things can happen but also what bad things could happengives mixed feelings or ups and downs with how you feel about what's going to happen soon. But, as of last night I feel I am ready and this is what I need to be healthy. I know it won't be easy but that's OK this is the path that God has set me on and I will walk it with his strength behind me. Right now everything in my life has changed moved to new state, husband is military but he is stationed 5 hours away from where we currently live (didn't want to live in the area that he was being stationed, nothing is there) will be changing up job field soon, so back to school for me, I'm 40 and my life is totally changing and on July 27th my surgery will assist in more changes .
  13. @@juliarea, congratulations on getting your surgery date. I'll admit that I'm getting nervous about the liquid diet I have my surgery on the 27th of July and start my pre op on the 9th,dietician on the 14th. Good luck to you.
  14. @@angelinstl congratulations, are you on your liquid diet already? How are you feeling about you upcoming date?
  15. @@cdesimone good luck on your liquid diet please keep me posted I'm sure I will start mine soon after you. Just remember to take it one day at a time.
  16. @@cdesimone I see my dietician on the 14th I guess she'll let me know then she'll also be taking my before and after pics plus showing my around the wls floor in the hospital. But she has me already taking my optisource vitamins they are chewable not that good but not that bad either. @@tcon congratulations
