  1. Hi! I am trying to find a good, chewable multivitamin. I've been told that the ones with the starburst consistency are the best but I'm not sure what brands have those. Can anyone who takes that kind of vitamin let me know what the brand is? Thanks!!!

  4. I haven't actually thrown up but the women I shared a room with did the second night and it's completely normal.
  5. I'll try that...it seems to be getting a little better but is still definitely there.
  6. I had my surgery on Monday, 7-13, and I am still feeling very nauseous. How long did your nausea last?
  7. I'll try sipping more carefully to make sure I'm not getting air in...thanks for the tip! The chest pain has been the hardest thing - my stomach hasn't hurt at all!
  8. Hi! I had my surgery yesterday and I'm still at the hospital where I've been cleared to have clear liquids. I've only tried water so far but even when I take a super small sip it hurts my chest as it's going down. Did anyone else have this? If so, how long before it went away?
  9. I know what you mean, I've been worrying about things through the whole process but I'm feeling really good now. ☺️ Although, I'm sure there will be all new stuff to worry about afterwards, lol!

  11. My final weigh in was today and I made it by half a pound! Ready for my surgery on Monday!!
  12. Thank you so much, I hope the surgeon sees it that way too! I am just so excited to start this new phase of my life and I would hate to have it pushed back for even a few days... I will definitely update after my appointment tomorrow!
  13. I am scheduled to have my surgery on 7/13/15 and my surgeon requires a two week pre-op diet using New Directions products and told me I needed to lose 10 lbs over the two weeks. My insurance required a 12 week medically managed weight loss program before they would approve the surgery and I lost 25 lbs on that. I started the diet on 6/29/15 and the first week I was on 4 products a day which added up to 520 calories a day. I lost 7 lbs in that first week so when I had my weigh in on Monday 7/6 it seemed pretty clear that I would be able to lose the 10 lbs. Unfortunately the next 2 days after that I gained 1 lb. This morning I was down .8 lb but still would have 3 to go and I weigh in again tomorrow. I talked to a nurse at the doctors office and she told me I could go down to 3 products a day which I did yesterday and plan to continue until my surgery but my question is this - has anyone not quite lost the weight the surgeon wanted you to on the pre-op diet but still went ahead with the surgery? I have followed the pre-op diet to the letter and I am getting in around 90 ounces of Water a day but I am just so worried my surgery will be postponed...

  18. Hi everybody! My surgery date is July 13th and I am starting a 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. My surgeon requires the New Directions products and it's only 4 products a day! I also have to lose at least 10 lbs or my surgery date might be moved but I'm confident I can do it. I'm nervous about the surgery but so excited to start this new chapter in my life!!
