Hello! I began my weight loss journey in December, 2014 after visiting my PCP. After I inquired about surgery, he suggested I see a Bariatric surgeon for a consultation. After almost 8 months of pre op testing and emotional highs and lows, I was finally approved by insurance and scheduled for my surgery.

I had my surgery on August 11th and had terrible complications with nausea and vomiting. They kept me in recovery for 5 hours, which they said was a record for a patient with nausea. That awful feeling continued all day, through the night and through the following day. I ended up having to stay an additional night in the hospital. As far as pain goes...I had VERY little! I never needed pain medication beyond the recovery room and didn't need a pain pump. The nausea was the WORST part of my entire surgical experience -- hands down!

I am excited to share ideas and experiences with others. I am married to a wonderful man and have four beautiful daughters! Life is good! :)
