  1. Ang, can I ask you a question? Why no NSAIDS? Is that a surgeon specific thing? It's one of my main reasons for getting banded instead of another procedure--because I CAN have NSAIDS post banding.
  2. I thought about the Melting Pot but didn't think I would have the willpower to avoid the cheese fondue or the chocolate dessert! But just the main meal is a very good idea. Thanks!
  3. My sweety and I are going out on Saturday for Valentines Day. He's letting me choose the restaurant. I'm three weeks post surgery, no fills yet, and on regular food (just small portions). Any suggestions? Sashimi is probably the safest bet, but I had that this weekend, and honestly thought it wasn't nearly as good as sushi.
  4. Would you consider driving to Philly? Dr. Boe at Barix clinic in Langhorn is very good and experienced with lap bands.
  5. Hi all...I haven't posted here since pre-op. I had my band on 1/22 also, and I'm doing well. I spent the one night in the hospital, and walked so much I impressed the staff. I spent a lot of the next week sleeping under the influence of liquid vicoden. I'm still on full liquids, but I'm seeing my surgeon on Thursday and hopefully will be advanced at that point. I don't think he's doing a fill until my 6 week check though....each doc is different, I guess. I'm living on Cappucino flavored Matrix protien shakes. Yum. Although it's getting boring. And...I'm down 8 lbs the first week and 3 the next...11 so far!!!
  6. Add me to the list of January Bandsters....I had my pre op testing today and I'm a go for 1/22! purplegoddess 244/goal 150
